are we safe on the blockchain? I saw one post from someone, named "a hacker found on steemit".. so I hope you all mention something here
We can never stop these crimes in the cyber world as we all have our own vulnerabilities. Digital cryptocurrencies are becoming a common payment method. Blockchain and cryptocurrencies are quickly expanding. So that someone can easily hack into personal accounts and steal money from all of us? .Actually "Hacking" a blockchain is almost impossible but there are many ways to steal everything from you. the only way to protect ourselves is to understand how they do it. Then we can prevent attacks in the future. Steemit is a social media platform based on the blockchain so it's a little bit hard to hack someone's private data. But somehow anyone can steal them from you. let see how they do it

what are phishing attacks? according to Wikipedia,

a fraudulent attempt to obtain sensitive data such as usernames passwords credit card information

in other words, Phishing is a type of social engineering attack often used to steal user data, including login credentials this is the common way to steal information from you. As we ahh have our weakness and vulnerabilities so hackers get advantages from them. So phishing attacks are so scary and also anyone can do without hacking knowledge. Here is how they catch you. They will find A way to send a link. When you click that link you will be redirected to the targeted website. For example steemit logging page. If you put your information on that page. That info will go to hackers immediately without your permission. Also, these links were not suspected by you because sometimes friendly for you. Sometimes it's telling you "your account has been hacked, please verify your identity through this link below" Important thing is even 14years old boy can do this. Sounds scary right.

they can send links in attractive ways. when someone wants to steal from you they will get the advantage of your vulnerabilities. get an advantage from your fear is a common way, phishing pages exactly look like the original web pages.

hacking your device- I think you know what if someone hacked your device such as a smartphone, computer. modern services are always storing your data on your computer because it's easy to handle them. also, steemit ask to download a pdf file of our passwords. so no need to explain what will happen if someone has your private key. so keeping your private key stored online is not a wise idea

keyloggers and malware and trojans- hackers will always find a way to get information from you. so here is their next move attacking devices with keyloggers. keyloggers are malware that records personal information you out on your phone or computer. every pin password that you type before will store on the keylogger and send to hackers without your permission. there are several ways to infected a keylogger on our device. also, trojans are similar to keyloggers they can monitor your behavior. If your Bitcoin wallet is connected to the Internet, they can use malware to get access and drain your funds if you're not protecting yourself from malware. You can download malware by clicking links in your email. You can also download it from websites and social media.

also, there are other ways more than this. fake wallets advertising will mislead you to give your personal information. do not give your private keys to anyone because once they have your keys, it's easy to move your money as getting candy from a baby. no company and no legit person will ask for your private key for any reason. blockchains offer us a great service. nobody can easily hack the blockchain but remember humans are the biggest vulnerability of the system. hope you find something valuable in this article
