For Grocery Day |Battle month|09
Welcome back to my blog and hope you all are well. I wish Eid Mubarak to all of my Muslims friends who are joining in this Seemit platform.

Referring to the latest decisions from the supreme committee, all commercial activities have been banned since last Monday and it allows only supermarkets to sell essential stuff like groceries, fruits, vegetables, etc;. 🍅🍆 🍉🍗
This was bit hard decision for them but this decision would definitely prevent the hiking of Covid 19 cases which had become the most critical level. There is no restriction for construction activities, essential services, delivery of foods and those activities have been moving smoothly. Those are not such hard decisions for them, if we compare them to Sri Lanka in terms of the nature of the country, less population, lifestyle of local people, and current economic condition.
I personally believe that these will not be able to be applied in Sri-Lanka in a practical way. Even Though, there should be some positive, prompt actions from the relevant authorities which I have not seen after the starting of third wave.
However, by yesterday we noticed that we were out of stock and decided to go to the nearest supermarket to buy the necessary items which will be required to run the upcoming week. As I planned I was able to be there early in the morning expecting less crowds. Also, they have revised their shopping timing from 8am to 7amin-order to minimize the rush. Furthermore, access was restricted to limited crowds as directed by the committee and I was lucky enough to get in there without waiting outside. The main intention of coming here was to get some fresh fish which I could do. Normally, this is the most risky point where I am afraid to visit as lots of people are gathering here to buy and always full of crowds due to less nos of staff members available for this section. Again, i was so lucky and there was no rush over and I could select my stuff without any fear.

The best way of now need to promote online grosery and make familiarize to people.
Specially crowded area need to make it proper and safer way.
This pandemic situation all the people should have to self control and discipline specially marketing time.

The online purchasing is a good solution to avoid contact while shopping. It may be difficult for the majority of us but need to initiate wherever we can apply it.
Yes indeed. We are the only one who can break this chain and our self-control, discipline is much more required than ever.
In a country like Sri Lanka, I think raising travel restrictions are better than a lockdown. Because the people who got days payment will have to face bigger problems in a developing country like Sri Lanka. So I thoroughly believe that the old statement "Prevention is better than cure". Be safe Brother!!!

Same things are happening in Sri Lanka since yesterday with the curfew and travel restrictions. What I thought is Dubai is doing a good job in case of implementing restrictions to prevent the prevailing of this pandemic. Is supreme committee the legislature of Dubai?

Good to hear that and this would help to break the chain of spreading Covid 19 cases.
This is in Oman and the Committee was appointed by his HE providing them all necessary power and freedom to control the situation. It is not link with legislature.
