Providing a public STEEM node for the community was a time-consuming task for me. The node can be reached at: https://api.campingclub.me
The STEEM API is provided in a data center in Germany. This should be one of the fastest nodes available to you if you are based in Europe.
The Seed node can be reached at: seed.campingclub.me:2001

I've spent a lot of time over the past four months testing configuration and queries on the node and so far it's running stable.
Hivemind is part of the configuration, it was tedious and time-consuming to synchronize the Hivemind. The Hivemind node can be reached at: https://hivemind.campingclub.me
With steem-api, steem-ah and hivemind, finally managed to configure a full node
Please let me know if you use this public API node and encounter any undesirable behavior.

What I have been developing is like a Patreon on steem where creators get rewared. The good thing is investors can have profit by supporting good creators. Cool isn't it?
