A Snookmademedoit Challenge aneb Proč jsem stále na Steemitu?

Dear @snook, dear Steemians

I'm very happy for this opportunity to express my thoughts about Steemit and I hope that they can help newcomers in not giving up when first unsuccess occurs. It is also important to stop during long-term activity for a while and look back what track is behind me and whether my direction is correct. Not only chasing the head of the peloton vanishing in the horizon.

So, how did I appeare on Steemit?

In April 2017 I started to get information about crypto, especially bitcoin. In the Czech Republic, there existed a group of influencers running webpages promoting the crypto. In June there was published an article about one social network which pays you for your posts. It sounded unbelievably and great. I created an account and so did another 20 Czech members. Thanks to @godfish who wrote Czech manual for us we were able to establish new community using the tag #cesky.

Why am I still on Steemit?

When I started to publish my first rewards hardly were 1 or 2 cents. I realized that also on Steemit you don't become rich unless you work very hard. I asked myself whether it makes sense to spent my time here. The community of "the little Czech pond", as we call ourselves, gives me the answer. It's fine to be part of such a positive team. We support each other, take care of our newbies, inform what's new in social network or organize various contests. There also were held a few meetings. Finally, I am still convinced that Steemit becomes the most successful network in few years.

My advice for those who consider quitting the activity on Steemit is:

• do what you are familiar with
• try to be a part of some specifically oriented community
• participate in contests (photo, @qurator 's …).
• don't give up after the first disappointment

As the Czech athlete Emil Zatopek, who won 4 gold Olympic medals in long distance running, said: „It's at the borders of pain and suffering that the men are separated from the boys“ and „Are you running out of breath? Go faster!"

U mě je situace jasná. Také jsem před dvěma lety přemýšlel, zda má smysl zde pokračovat, když je odměna za snahu tak mizivá. A dospěl jsem ke zjištění, že ano. V českém rybníčku se sešla rozmanitá parta pozitivních lidí, od kterých se neustále dozvídám mnoho zajímavého. A také jsem stále přesvědčen, že Steemit se během několika let stane nejúspěšnější sociální sítí.
