Keep Yourself Motivated
BY DEEPAK RAJPAL · PUBLISHED OCTOBER 3, 2014 · UPDATED OCTOBER 5, 2014
We all know the power of motivation. When we are motivated, we experience such a powerful self that no dream is too big for us.
Do you remember when you heard an inspiring story and instantly felt full of motivation? At that time, you must have a desire to do something extraordinary in life. However, the next day all motivation vanishes away.
When we listen to a motivational song or watch any motivational movie, we feel on the top of the world. They remind us our dreams. We feel so energized. However, the motivation last for a while. Then, we get ourselves fighting with the difficulties of daily life. We begin to lose faith in ourselves. Finally, we forget about our dreams.
“People who are unable to motivate themselves must be content with mediocrity, no matter how impressive their other talents” ~ Andrew Carnegie
Motivation: The Secret of Success:
Do you know what makes great person great? What separates them from others? How successful people are able to achieve goals one after another? The first secret of their success is Motivation. Successful people live in motivation. Yes, they are full of motivation all the time.
“Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it’s always your choice.” ~ Wayne Dyer
Nobody can stay motivated until he or she regularly does something to recharge himself with motivation. Successful people have plenty of motivational sources here and there. Whenever they find some time, they nourish themselves with motivation. Do you do it?
How to Keep Yourself Motivated:
Whenever I talk about having lasting motivation, a nice piece of the Zig Ziglar quote comes into my mind.
“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” ~ Zig Ziglar
Today we often make excuses that we do not have enough time daily. Let me tell you that you do not need to spare half an hour every day just for motivation. Therefore, there is no need to make excuses. You only need to take little pieces of time daily to keep yourself motivated.
Listen or read something inspirational just for a couple of minutes and you will feel motivated for several hours. It is up to you, when you can find that time pieces. For example, you can feed motivation yourself every morning. You can even do it while shaving or taking a bath. You can do it while driving or travelling. In short, motivate yourself whenever you find time.
How to ride on the Motivation:
Motivation is like a fuel for the vehicle. It helps you to start life vehicle for your dream journey. Now, if you keep your life vehicle at the same place even if it has started, all your fuel will get lost in vain. So make use of your motivational fuel before it ends. How?
Once you feel motivated, take actions toward dreams. In turn, these actions will keep you motivated for long time.
“Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.” ~ Jim Ryan
Many of us have a large gap between the thinking and actions. Thinking alone never helps. There are uncounted numbers of people who think a lot. Many people dream and think big. However, rather than taking the next step, they wait for miracles. They wait for the more motivation to come. They wait for the opportunities.
Meet the Motivation often:
If motivation does not come to it, you go for it. If an opportunity does not come, create it. You never realize your true power. All of the great people of their time were like us. Most of them were not born talented. They discovered their motive. They developed their talent. They motivated themselves and achieved their dreams. That is it.
“To hell with circumstances; I create opportunities.” ~ Bruce Lee
Explore your talent. Then keep yourself motivated.
Motivated, What Next:
Once you get a touch of motivation, you will find an urge to work on your dreams. Do not wait too long to start. If we wait too long, our positive thoughts will disappear eventually and negativity takes place in our mind. Therefore, our mind starts giving excuses.
See any successful people. They do not think so much. They think, plan and start working on it.
I am talking so much about the actions. Why? Because, a single set of action is much more powerful than 100 thoughts. Motivation, which comes from actions, is long lasting motivation.
