[투자의 단상] Binance.US 비트코인 현물 zero fee 정책

바이낸스 US에서 Bitcoin 4가지 현물 spot trading에 대해 Zero-fee 정책을 발표하였습니다.
올해는 확실히 다양한 섹터에서 많은 뉴스와 이벤트가 발생하는 한해인 듯 싶네요.
바이낸스를 시발로 Coinbase도 zero-fee 구독 서비스의 형태로 서비스를 제공하며, 거래소들간의 fee war가 촉발되는 모양입니다.

코인베이스의 구독 서비스는 대략 29.99$/월 정도 되는 것 같습니다.

바이낸스는 현재 46개 미국 주에서 서비스를 제공 중이며, 연말까지 50개 주로 확대 서비스를 제공할 예정이라고 합니다.
또한, Zero-fee Service는 Bitcoin에서 다양한 코인으로 점차 확대해 나갈 예정이네요.
Zero-fee 정책의 목적은 물론 신규 수요를 창출하기 위함이겠지만, 결국은 이 시장이 블루오션에서 레드오션으로 넘어가는 시발점이 되는 게 아닌 가 하는 생각이 드네요.

“We hope our pricing model sees broader industry adoption over time, as that would have a positive impact on the ecosystem and market participants overall,” Binance.US’ spokesperson said. “We are happy to lead the race to zero-fees everywhere.”

다양한 서비스와 높은 점유율을 가진 소수의 거래소들만이 향후 전개되는 거래소 전쟁에서 살아남을 듯 싶습니다.
물론 유저들은 보다 다양하고 안정적인 서비스에 접근할 수 있는 기회를 갖게 될 것으로 기대가 되네요.
