ACT I

The protagonist of Hamlet is Prince Hamlet of the Kingdom of Denmark, son of the recently deceased King Hamlet, and kinsman of King Claudius, his father's brother, and successor, though Denmark defeated Norway and also the Norwegian throne fell to King Fortinbras's infirm brother, Denmark fears that associate invasion LED by the dead Norwegian king's son, aristocrat Fortinbras, is close.


ACT II


Soon thereafter, Ophelia rushes to her father, telling him that Hamlet found out her door the previous night half-undressed and behaving unpredictably. Polonius blames love for Hamlet's madness and resolves to tell Claudius and Gertrude. As he enters to try and do this, the king and queen end hospitable Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, two student acquaintances of Hamlet, to Elsinore. ACT III

Hamlet is walking alone within the hall because the King and Polonius look at Ophelia's entrance, musing whether or not "to be or to not be". Once Ophelia enters and tries to come back Hamlet's things, Hamlet accuses her of immodesty and cries "get thee to a nunnery", although it's unclear whether or not this, too, could be a show of madness or real distress.

His reaction convinces Claudius that Hamlet isn't mad for love. Shortly thenceforth, the court assembles to observe the play Hamlet has commissioned. ACT IV

Ophelia's funeral procession approaches, led by mythical beings. Hamlet and Horatio ab initio hide, however, once Hamlet realizes that Ophelia is that the one being buried, he reveals himself, proclaiming his love for her. Mythical being and Hamlet fight by Ophelia's graveside, however, the brawl is choppy.
