WIN 20 STEEM || Fantasy F1 Preview Part 2

Continuing on from Part 1 of my Fantasy F1 Preview, today I'll be looking at teams slightly further back on the grid.

We still have just 4 entrants into the F1 Fantasy League, so even if you know nothing about Formula 1, you have a chance of winning the 1st Steemit F1 trophy and a place in what will become a prestigious hall of fame (and 20 STEEM).

So here's a bit of background into a few more teams.

Aston Martin

Aston Martin have taken over last season's Pink Mercedes (Racing Point) who did well in 2020. They've acquired Sebastien Vettel for this season who'll be looking for a new lease of life after a torrid 2020 at Ferrari. Alongside him is the team owner's son, Lance Stroll who, with another season and his 1st pole position under his belt, will be hoping to kick on. The signs look good for Aston Martin with some strong backing and a new factory on the way and with a strong car last year, will be in umongst the points more often than not.

However, pre-season was a mixed bag with Vettel in particular struggling. It could be that he was experimenting with the car and the team but despite the good signs, pre-season looked a little worrying.

Alpine

Alpine are the Renault team of 2020, having undergone a rebrand. I say they're the team of 2020, much has changed since the end of last season. They've restructured behind the scenes and have the legendary Fernando Alonso back behind the wheel of an F1 car after a 2 year absence. I'm not convinced that it'll be as easy for Alonson to get back to his best quickly as others are (sorry, no romance here) and the disruption in management can't have helped the team focus. This is a "wait-and-see" for me as they should be picking up plenty of points (like last season).

AlphaTuari

Sister / Junior team to Red Bull, the team has always performed consistently and provides a great stepping stone for their driver development programme. Alexander Albon and Pierre Gasly both being given opportunities at Red Bull last season and neither seizing upon it.

This season sees Pierre Gasly and rookie Yuki Tsunoda drive for the team. Having only finished 3rd in F2 last season, it'll be interesting to see if Tsunoda can step up and the AlphaTuari car should be quick enough to give him the opportunity to do so, lookin good in pre-season testing with Gasley 2nd quickest on the 2nd day and Tsunoda 2nd quickest on the final day.
