Kitty Galore: Famous Cartoon Cats I know

Just a week ago, I spent almost a week roaming the streets of Bacolod. When my vacation is about to end, I decided to make a quick stop in Cebu.

Since the port is just within the city limits, I headed to SM Seaside City, it's been a while since I visited the place, I guess it was a high time to go there. After buying a couple of pasalubong for my nieces and nephews, I decided to drop by at the Sky Park to check whats new in the area.

After a hearty meal at Spice Fusion, I wanted to lounge for a while but it was cut short as I need to rush to the airport. Just as I was about to leave the premise of Sky Park, I noticed a newly opened cafe. There are a lot of newly opened restaurants in the mall but that one was special.

I paused and took a couple of photos and immediately rushed to the taxi station. Along the way to the airport, I then check the place on Facebook.

The name of the cafe is Cat Cafe and obviously there are cats roaming around the cafe. Too bad that I was not able to see it before I had my meal, I would probably be dining there instead of Spice Fusion. I guess I have another reason to visit Cebu again soon.

But since I was not able spend some time at Cat Cafe, I'll just leave you with something interesting that involves our feline friends.

Cats vary in personality almost as much as people. There are shy cats, lazy cats, cunning, classy and cute cats. Many of these feline personalities have been instilled in heart the world over through lovable and laughable kitty characters.

Here are some of the famous and well-loved cartoon cats.

Tom from Tom & Jerry

Tom and Jerry are a cat and mouse pair that appeared in 114 animated shorts created between 1940 and 1959. The vast majority of these stories, consisted of Tom's mostly failed attempts to catch Jerry. However, it would appear that the pair shared a genuine friendship and Tom's chases were mostly spurred by rivalry, challenge or revenge.

In its heyday Tom and Jerry exhibited an unusually high amount of cartoon violence, thus providing inspirations for The Simpsons' Itchy and Scratchy cartoon.
