RE: Buying Vegetables from History!

in #history5 years ago (edited)

I just love old buildings like this one, lovely spinach you got too!
What a tragedy it will be, surely if it's declared a national heritage site it can't be destroyed? The current owner should consider applying to have it registered as such.

Any structure older than 60 years is protected by the National Heritage Resources Act. Heritage properties are managed and graded by Heritage Western Cape (HWC) and the South African Heritage Resource Agency (SAHRA).

Thank you Lady Lizelle and we know this, but the owner is old and I think from what I gathered during our discussion with him, they he is quite set on selling the place to developers. That was his excuse when I asked him why the place was not restored to ts former beauty.
I have been searching high and low, but I cannot find an trace of the property's history. Not even in the history archives.
But I will continue to search, as somewhere there has to be something.
An estate agent told me this morning that a beautiful house across the road from this one is from the same era.
Maybe I will find something!
Blessings!

What a pity, all for money!
Hope you find something about the history of the other house!

Thank you and I will keep on scratching my friend.
Blessings!
