And then she got sick and died at a fairly young age, around 50 I think. It's very sad because her son went on to become a great chief and she never knew that.

I'm sorry I confused you about Cynthia Parker. She loved her life as an Indian so when she was forced to come back to the whites she felt like she was with the enemy, even though it was with her relatives. She hated it and she kept trying to run away so they kept her locked in a room so she couldn't escape. So basically she was a prisoner. And she hated the white man's food and wouldn't talk to anyone, or very little.
the only reason she was back with the whites is that her village was attacked by Rangers and they were going around shooting everyone in the head, executing them. When they got to her they noticed she had blue eyes so they didn't shoot her. They took her back to the fort with them, against her will. Then the people at the fort got in touch with her relatives.
For some reason Quanah wasn't there with her at that time or they would have killed him too. let me know if I'm making sense.
