Interesting post ;). When you take a substance, it alters the electro-chemical processing in the brain. Or without substances, and self-induce altered states of consciousness that affect the elctro-chemical processing in the brain. One can have enhanced creativity and imagination of thought to conceptualize an introspective view of self. This is another model of a trinity that these people have devised based on how they thought of things. I doubt the magical abilities, but it's possible.

Control over bodily aspects through the mind is possible to some degree so maybe. The placebo effect works because consciousness can influence electro-chemical processes and thereby the body.

The trinity model they came up with is an attempt to frame/model such an understanding they could demonstrate, or possibly only believed in.
