on this scale was soo super crazy ofcourse, but we have to admit that in other places in the world still stuff like this happens on a smaller scale (also based on randomness: religion/race/ location where you live)
I do always find it so strange that our grandparents living then and that they were still normal afterwards, as in not traumatized for life
Even stranger when you think about, that the most of them did let these awful things just happened...
Peer pressure and also have a gun pointed on your head are factors to not to rule out i guess.
In the end self-preservation is something that makes people do aweful things I guess?
