RE: On Memorial Day - If You Want To "Support The Troops" Save Them (And Their Victims) From War

in #history7 years ago

I didn't say stamping out socialism would end war. I do say that as long as socialism exists there will be war. War is a social construct.

The US is not immune, the Federal Reserve, Corporations, and much of the government moved/is moving more into socialism.

This doesn't end well.
(Socialism is not a doctrine of peace, i would advise reading the communist manifesto, and understand the underlying fact that peace is incompatible with it.)

Sort:

I read it many years ago and remember much of it being a rambling diatribe of complaints against the rich.

All I'm saying is by placing labels onto systems that are ultimately made up of millions and billions of people and believing that you can fit them into a singular box is crazy.

Many times throughout history a few men have forced these ideas onto the many at the point of a sword or the barrel of a gun.

Today it happens more often with the stroke of a pen and the threat of violence, imprisonment, or public humiliation as motivation.

What would a perfect world look like and how can we get there? I have my ideas but would genuinely like to know yours.

I don't write much, but have a few posts, none mention a perfect world.

Aw man, I'm not trying to bust you out or anything like that. I'm just curious what you would do differently is all 😊

to be fair there was war prior to socialism.

Mostly prior wars between religions or tribes. Both religions and tribes are social constructs. Rinse and repeat.

sure, humans will have conflicts at all levels, there are still wars between religions and tribes today and now that we have countries they have wars too.
