Power Politics of the Left and the Right, why it matters

The Image is a modification of the political compass. I call this form the Power Politics model in that it shows how the various positions look at power. I used mob in a very distinct manner, as when looking at power, you inevitably will be looking at a gathering of people of one sort or another. The parameter of power is what is on display as the group manifest.

The top left hand area is where we see nationalism that develops into national warfare, and eventually world warfare. It is the birth place of mechanized war and the mother of all deaths from such wars.

The lower left looks harmless enough. I know of a few who hold that position, and they are good folks. The big problem I see with producing a mob that is supposedly not looking to rule, is that at any given time there can be something triggered that pushed the mob to move its value system to the top left, where of course they will be wanting to rule. It’s a y-axis shift upward. This is relatively common in history. The rise of Antifa and similar leftist collectives are patterns of y-axis shifting upward.

Since the election of Trump we have seen similar upward y-axis shifts on the right. Many libertarians shifted upwards.

Let’s look for a moment at the center. Many people assume that this is the place to be, out of some misguided adherence to Aristotle's Doctrine of the Mean. In the sense of power, it only means your half in or half out of mob rule. Is that really virtue?

The lower right is the only area that falls outside of the Power Politics of mob rule. It is the only place where freedom and peace can prosper. If you want peace, freedom and prosperity you have to work your way there.
