The city in the Far East of Russia (and then the Soviet Union) has its own peculiarity.This is remoteness from the capital region of the country where the bulk of the population of Russia is concentrated.Therefore the Far East is called "Far" because the distance to it from the center of the country is about 7000 km.Therefore, everything in the Far East comes a little late.It also happened in the mid-1950s of the last century when work began in Moscow to debunk Stalin's cult of personality. In Khabarovsk, his portraits and statues were still in full swing.
