#Ulog 21 - Visiting our Mangaldan Museum and Heritage Center | its really important to know history of our own land
Good evening to all Steemit users! Who likes history? This time, I am here to show you the nearest museum here in my place.. The MMHC or Museo De Mangaldan and Heritage Center..
They gave me a simple brochure that contains some information about Mangaldan and what's inside the Museum.. these are the following contents:
"The MMHC is a community museum that exhibits Mangaldan's history and cultural identity. It creates a venue where knowledge and practices that have meaningful connections to people are formed."
"The MMHC is an integral part of the development thrust of the local government of Mangaldan which is the preservation and the promotion of history and cultural development. It is one of Mayor Bona Fe de Vera-Parayno's major advocacy, that Mangaldan be considered as a center of "culture and arts" in Pangasinan."
"It is also in line with the overall vision of the Province of Pangasinan which is the establishment of a cultural reinassance program seeking to revive past glories and pride of the province."

Here are shots I took when I visited the museum..
As I enter the museum I saw this statue and it is labeled "Al Pueblo De Mangaldan".
These bracelets are made of paper and beads and are quite popular before I guess..
All kinds of long knives or jungle bolo in various shapes and sizes.
These pots, I think, they use these before for cooking, it is very different from our kitchen tools today since we use a lot that are electricity-powered.
These are the 'lights' before, just some gas and fire, you're good to go! I really like how lamps work before, I don't know about the other two things here in the photo.
It is very hard before, if your chores are hard today, imagine what hardship the people before experienced.. This is the "flat iron", by how it looks, you can tell that it is really heavy, this iron works by putting live coals inside it, that makes it very warm.
These are baskets that are made by Pangasinenses as one of their source of income, and its still used by the people of Mangaldan.
These are the old buildings of Mangaldan Municipality, school buildings, Church and other government buildings.
This old map still exist here at the museum, we have a new map since many establishment are now added into it.
And these are the history of great people who became Mayors and well served Mangaldan's people.
These are the old music and folk dances a long time ago, sad to say that its only a memory now cause by modern song and modern dancing.
Lastly, these are all the "positive words" that you needed to impose to become a better person of Mangaldan Pangasinan!
MMHC is an ideal place to go to, not only for those who are interested with the history of Mangaldan.. but also to those who are fond of history generally, and also the arts of the past. Going to museums like this will add up a lot in your knowledge, you'll never know when you can use these sets of ideas but for the meantime, learning is fun and entertaining. Aside from that, you can have thoughts about how people lived before -- from everyday materials to their designs; their surroundings or environment.. and all their experience from the early times.
Thank you all! Please do like this post if you found it interesting. Enjoy and have a good day!
