I agree with your point. Also, why'd the WIC go bankrupt? I never knew they did.
It's crazy to think that a few hundred years ago people didn't truly consider Slavery to be as wrong as people believe it is today.
im not an expert but like I said in the post, they still had to fight the Spanish and Portuguese.(imo) War was expensive back then and was the nail to the coffin.
You are super right. However unfortunately slavery still exists.
