Every week I introduce you to rappers from all over the world, to expand your horizon! Hip Hop is a worldwide movement that knows no boundaries and does not stop at race, gender, skin colour or other things.

The band or the project I want to introduce to you today is called K.I.Z. what this abbreviation means is not quite clear. The band's explanation changes almost as often as the weather and ranges from cannibals in plain clothes (Kannibalen in Zivil) to war criminals in prison (Kriegsverbrecher im Zuchthaus) to capitalism is enchanting (Kapitalismus ist zauberhaft).

K.I.Z. now only consists of 3 permanent members, that would be Maxim, Nico and Tarek. In February 2018 they parted ways from their long-time DJ Craft.

Since 2005 they released 5 albums and 3 mixtapes in their always very exhilarating sexistically provocative sarcastic style. Their lyrics always deal in a satirical way with political and sociological topics of the current time. A big point why I like K.I.Z. so much is that they take themselves the least seriously, which is unfortunately far too rare in today's rap.

They also provide again and again very controversial topics of conversation, in their video from 2013 to their track "Ich bin Adolf Hitler" the German-Jewish comedian Oliver Polak played the Adolf Hitler of today. Every year on World Women's Day, they also make a concert for women only, where they always dress up as women. In addition to their music, they are involved in the political satire party "The Party" and stood for election to the Berlin House of Representatives in 2011 and 2016.

All in all one can say that K.I.Z. is quite an enrichment of the music world and the concert 2016 in the Wuhlhaide in Berlin was one of the best concerts I have seen so far.

I will post a selection of the (in my opinion) best tracks from K.I.Z. under the text! The problem is that I actually like so many songs that the selection is very difficult for me!

Das wird der erste Post aus meiner neuen Kolumne für #hhtb – hoffentlich bleibt es nicht der letzte!

Jede Woche stelle ich euch Rapper aus der ganzen Welt vor um euren Horizont zu erweitern! Hiphop ist eine weltweite Bewegung die keine Grenzen kennt und keinen halt macht vor Rasse, Geschlecht, Hautfarbe oder anderen Dingen.

Die Band bzw. das Projekt das ich euch Heute vorstellen will nennt sich kurz K.I.Z. … was diese Abkürzung genau bedeuten soll ist nicht so ganz klar. Die Erklärung der Band ändert sich fast so oft wie das Wetter und reicht von Kannibalen in Zivil über Kriegsverbrecher im Zuchthaus bis hin zu Kapitalismus ist zauberhaft.

K.I.Z. besteht seit kurzem nur noch aus 3 festen Mitgliedern, das wären Maxim, Nico und Tarek. Im Februar 2018 trennten sie sich ihre Wege von ihrem langjährigen Dj Craft.

Seit 2005 veröffentlichten sie 5 Alben und 3 Mixtapes in ihrem immer wieder sehr erheiternden sexistisch provokantem sarkastischen Stil. Ihre Texte befassen sich immer auf satirische Art mit politischen und soziologischen Themen der aktuellen Zeit. Ein großer Punkt weshalb ich K.I.Z. so gut finde ist das sie sich selbst am wenigsten ernst nehmen, was im heutigen Rap leider viel zu selten der Fall ist.

K.I.Z. sorgt auch immer wieder für sehr kontroversen Gesprächsstoff, in ihrem Video von 2013 zu ihrem Track „Ich bin Adolf Hitler“ spielte der deutsch-jüdische Comedian Oliver Polak den Adolf Hitler von heute. Außerdem machen sie jedes Jahr zum Welt Frauentag ein Konzert nur für Frauen auf dem sie sich immer als Frau verkleiden. Neben ihrer Musik engagieren sie sich in der politischen Satirepartei „Die Partei“ und kandidierten 2011 und 2016 für das Abgeordnetenhaus in Berlin.

Alles in allem kann man sagen das KIZ eine ziemliche Bereicherung der Musikwelt ist. und das Konzert 2016 in der Wuhlhaide in Berlin war eines der besten Konzerte die ich bisher gesehen habe.

Ich werde euch eine Auswahl der (meiner Meinung nach) besten Tracks von K.I.Z. unter dem Text posten! Das Problem dabei ist das ich tatsächlich so viele Lieder gut finde das mir die Auswahl sehr schwer fällt.
