Ashram school
The video shows the Ashram Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Coimbatore; I filmed it from an upper floor. A chess tournament was held at this school last Sunday, and my son participated in it. I accompanied him while he played. Like me, many other parents had brought their children to compete. Around 1,000 children took part in the tournament. The competition was categorized by age—Under-10, Under-13, Under-16, and Under-18—and further divided by gender, with all participants playing seven rounds. Students who took part received certificates, while the winners were awarded trophies and medals.
