What do out artist on steemit think of these ancient works?
Part of the hike takes you past a few meters of cliff face that has be painted on at various times by different artist. A number of different styles are evident and also different ages as some of the paintings are more weathered than others.
Here is one of the better preserved rather busy panel...
Two antelope looking right...
A freakishly long legged person facing a long legged antelope looking left....
Zooming in on the antelope to show the beautiful quartzite used as the canvas.
An odd unidentifiable object... these artist often used hallucinogenics.
Iron age pottery shards left by later peoples in ancestral worship rituals.
An interesting diversion to contemplate and ponder over while taking a little rest among the trees.
This looks like a real interesting hike!!

@gavvet I wonder how long its been there and what gave those images their pigment and what they used to etch those on the rock? If those have been there for edges I wonder how it was able to withstand the bad weather it must have gone through.
