Amalgamate - British colonial architecture in India
Not every day you end up finding places standing out among the ordinary. One such stay was at the WelcomHeritage Koolwal Kothi, Nawalgarh.
The place has a silent swag; that perfect amalgamation of Shekhawati and Brit elements. Definitely a good representative of British colonial architecture in India.
Constructed in 1934, it has a magnificent frontage with stucco decorative colonnades and a series of rooms organized around a central hall. The main building is a two– storied structure with frontal triple arche verandah openings and crowning parapets with decorative urns. The interiors are simple with very little decoration in the rooms. Made of Lime work the kothi reflects the regal times & grandeur of a by gone era. However, the emphasis is on bold and bright colors, and the openings are extenuated with multicolor borders or floral motifs, at times emulating tile or stonewall.

The furnitures are an extension of Shekhawati living and a lot of substance given to detail to recreate life as it was back then.
Common seating area
The famous Koolwal Haveli - built in 1931 this Haveli stands as a symbol of the grandeur of the bygone era.
The original edition of #AaronBernstein 's Grounded paired with chilled black reserve and a view of the famous Nawalgarh Haveli.
