I think so too. I think that everything that grows, has life is a being. Something to be thankful for.
It takes about 6 years to grow! When i harvest. I try to remember the 1/3 rule. 1/3 for the medicine to grow back, 1/3 for the wildlife that may need it, and 1/3 for us to use. Xoxo
