RE: Why Helpies should use TipU - Lesson by helpienaut @traciyork.
I think what happened is, when you put the link (https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@chanyadenfana/my-first-introduction-in-steemit) in the memo when you transferred SDB to tipu, then tipu acted like an upvote bot, instead of a tipper.
To tip posts (not upovote), you send the funds to tipu first (with a blank memo), then use the command under the post.
Did that make sense?
Also, I see your tip went through to researchgeek - nicely done! Sending the reimbursement to your wallet now. 😊
i had no idea it acted as an upvote bot! LOL
i am def learning the ins and outs of Tipu today and I thought i had learned enough from tipu themselves when we had a long discussion. so thank you so much! :)
so IF i had just said Tip exclamation on someone greater than 3 days it would have worked?
sorry for going on and on w/ our convos ... i hope you don't mind. i tend to comment a lot ... community interaction. LOL
thanks for the reimbursement, i might go send it to the other young lady i found if what you are saying is accurate. we can send a tip to anyone before 7 days maybe?
Yep, that should've worked.
And no worries - that's what these posts are supposed to be about! Chatting and learning (and chocolate cake, of course).
And yes, you can send a tip at any point during the 7 days, yes. However, after a quick look at that profile, I wouldn't recommend trying again - Steem Cleaners and Introbot have been all over it, so I'm a bit suspicious of the veracity of it....
It didn't work, but that's okay. I went back today and I took it all back, the girl looks like a spam/hacker. Oh snaps! You knew who I was talking about? I didn't realize that you also looked at it too and I hadn't read the rest of your message and typed the above. We both got the message "stay away." LOL
