Yep, I see him and @dswigle sending tips all the time! And I'm answering your question from the other thread here - yes, sending the 0.001 and the word balance in the memo should get you a reply with your balance. However, I've noticed a bit of lag time in the past couple of days, which might be related to the Steemit laggy things too (just guessing, don't know for sure). For example, I sent a tip yesterday and it took about an hour to go through. I bet your tip will show up here a few minutes before your balance shows up in your wallet! 😊

@eaglespirit, I don't see any transfers in your wallet to tipu asking for your balance. Maybe give it a shot again - $0.001 to tipu with the word balance in the memo. I'll keep a half eye on your wallet and see if it goes through this time...might've been a glitch in the Steemit matrix... LOL
@traciyyork --- okay weird, i sent it!! i just tried it again. fingers crossed. that was totally crazy, i wasnt even drunk (at the time.) LOL!

Here is a photo of my Tipu for at researchgeek, okay well his 6-pack may have influenced by "talent" search, but the nice young lady I found was at day 3 (but I upvoted her anyways), and accidentally sent a Tipu.

I think what happened is, when you put the link (https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@chanyadenfana/my-first-introduction-in-steemit) in the memo when you transferred SDB to tipu, then tipu acted like an upvote bot, instead of a tipper.
To tip posts (not upovote), you send the funds to tipu first (with a blank memo), then use the command under the post.
Did that make sense?
Also, I see your tip went through to researchgeek - nicely done! Sending the reimbursement to your wallet now. 😊

i am def learning the ins and outs of Tipu today and I thought i had learned enough from tipu themselves when we had a long discussion. so thank you so much! :)
so IF i had just said Tip exclamation on someone greater than 3 days it would have worked?

And yes, you can send a tip at any point during the 7 days, yes. However, after a quick look at that profile, I wouldn't recommend trying again - Steem Cleaners and Introbot have been all over it, so I'm a bit suspicious of the veracity of it....
It didn't work, but that's okay. I went back today and I took it all back, the girl looks like a spam/hacker. Oh snaps! You knew who I was talking about?
