Supporting Helpie Members with SBI Shares & Don't Forget to Vote Helpie for Witness!
I've been a member of the @helpie community for a couple of months now and I have to say that their support has allowed me to grow significantly. For me it's very important to also give back to the community, without the support of individual members, Helpie would not be where it is today.
Giving Back
Yes, it's easy to just do the minimum amount of effort and enjoy all the benefits, but that's not what Helpie is about. We're focused on helping *each other* grow, so it's time that I put my money where my mouth is and start supporting some members of @helpie.
I've gone through the Share-Your-Post channel on the @helpie Discord and picked out random members to send 2 Steem Basic Income shares to.
The following Helpie Members have received 2 SBI shares
Aside from supporting individual members with these SBI shares, I think it's also a good idea to support the main @helpie account. I'd highly recommend sending some SBI shares to the @helpie account.
I've recently purchased 10 shares for @helpie and I'd like to see us get to at least 100 shares. Helpie currently has only 38 shares and receives around $0.281 worth of upvotes per week.
I'm willing to give anyone 1 share for every 10 shares they purchase for @helpie, with a maximum of 30 shares to give away at my end. Meaning that @helpie will gain 300 shares if I can give away the full 30 shares. Post proof in the comments under this post. There's no deadline for entries!
Helpie for Witness
If you haven't done so already, please cast your witness vote for @helpie. It's really easy to do so, just visit the Vote for Witness page and upvote @helpie. They're currently ranked at the 73rd place.
@berniesanders has done a great job promoting @helpie as a witness, kudos to him. As a small token of appreciation, I've also sent him 5 SBI shares. I know this probably doesn't even make a dent in his post rewards, but it might pay off in the long term.
Take Bernie's example and also promote @helpie as a witness on your personal blog. I might give away some more SBI shares if you do so ;)
That's about it really... I might do some more of these posts in the future, where I pick out some random people from the
Share-Your-Post channel and send them free SBI shares. I think it's a great way to add an additional incentive to post regularly.

Early on, after being introduced to the @helpie community, I backed their efforts with SP delegation. Is backing them with SBI shares a better way of showing support?
Please provide as much detail in your answer, as you have time for and are comfortable. As an engineer, I always have lots of questions and appreciate detailed answers ... 😊

My argument for giving Helpie SBI shares, is that it's a more permanent form of support than delegation. As long as SBI exists and keeps upvoting, Helpie should receive upvotes from them indefinitely. Allowing Helpie to grow its own Steem Power reserves.
Currently, Helpie is largely dependent on huge delegations from some really generous whales. I think many would agree that it would also be a good idea to supplement that support with some Helpie-owned assets (SP).
Delegations can eventually disappear, but self-owned SP cannot. That's my logic behind this idea.
Hi @daan. One of these days I hope to be able to do something similar. It is good receiving but better giving. You are setting a great example of what helpie is all about.
