Hedge Funds investments for cryptocurrencies is exploding
A tweet from @TuurDemeester shows a news that the number hedge funds investing on cryptocurrencies is exploding.
According to the news article quoted by Demeester, a Law firm Cole-Frieman & Mallon has already invested to 7 cryptocurrency fundings this year and has 17 more come. Arthur Bell, an accounting firm currently works with about 15 fund managers in the industry and anticipates to take on 20 more soon. A fund administrator MG Stover & Co. has already funded 12 clients running cryptocurrency strategies and agreed to fund 25 more of them.
That is a total of 34 fundings plus 62 more to come soon. According to Arthur Bell, this has been the first time that he saw anything like that in volume of launches in the hedge funds space.
Japan's Major Department Store Marui Now accepts Bitcoin Payments
It has always been amazing to know whenever Bitcoin reaches he mainstream where more people will be able to adopt to the cryptocurrency.
Today, a major department store chain in Japan, Marui will start accepting Bitcoin.
Marui is a leading department store in the country which sells high fashoined brands and products from popular designers.
Marui has partnered with Bitflyer to accept bitcoin payments starting today. Bitflyer is one of the top Bitcoin exchanges and marketplace in Japan and the largest in terms of volume.
Only users with Bitflyer accounts will be able to pay in the said store. They will use Bitflyer's wallet on Android and iOS to pay bitcoin by scanning the QR code at the point of sale.
