Naxçıvan Muxtar Respublikası Azərbaycan Respublikasının təbii sərvətlər ilə zəngin olan bölgələrindən biridir. Yer kürəsinin geoloji və geomorfoloji hərəkətləri tarixin qatlar halında Naxçıvan Duz Mədənində təzahür edir. Naxçıvan duzu öz təbii tərkibi ilə fərqliliyini ortaya qoyur. Duzdağ adlanan bölgədə xəstəliklərin müalicəsi üçün şərait yaradılmış və yaranan xususi mühit bir sıra bronxial xəstəliklərin sağaldılması üçün illərdir əhali tərəfindən geniş istifadə edilir.
