Thank you for this post, i'm very young in my learning of Hebrew.

So the Aleph with the patach vowel point makes the "ahh" sound, and the Bet with kamatz vowel point makes the "bahh" sound, then the last Aleph is silent.

Why does the language keep the 'Aleph' at the end if it has no sound? Why not just have Aleph Bet with the vowel points to say "Abba"?
