This is my post for this contest. This tree grows beside my house, and now this tree is very much fruiting. This is a Pomegranate tree.
Pomegranates whose fruits resemble grenades in accordance with the Latin name "Punica granatum". Pomegranate is known as a fruit that has a myriad of health benefits. The taste that tends to be sour and slightly bland is believed to have health and beauty benefits. Not only the flesh, pomegranate seeds also contain a variety of nutrients ranging from vitamin A, C and E, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, iron, folic acid, niacin, thiamin, riboflavin and folate, so it is often used as a cure for various diseases.
The shape is round with a diameter of 5–12 cm, the skin color varies, such as purplish green, white, reddish brown, or blackish purple. Sometimes, there are slightly protruding older patches. The seeds are many, small, long-rounded shape which is rather flat, hard, irregularly arranged, red, pink, or white.
