Food that kills

Ever heard of A.G.E?
It stands for: Advanced Glycation End products. Not measles, typhus or the plague are humans biggest ennemies, but food is.
We are poisoning our own body with what we eat. It is one of the (biggest) reasons why we get: cancer, diabetes, heart and kidney diseases and... Alzheimer at all or... at a way younger age (the new poly epidemic of the Western world).

Oxidants are poison for the body.
They keep the immune system busy (even over active), no matter if you are aware of it or not.
Especially if you suffer from (chronic) inflammations, then it is time to detoxify!

Many people complain about bad health.
Taking care of the own body - as the temple of the soul - is not the highest priority to most people. Too busy at home, too tired, too much stress are all reasons brought up It is easier to take a pill as changing a bad habit. Healthy food is the last thing to care about it has to be fast and simple.

Smoking, drinking, fast food, all kinds of prepared food and drinks, candies, potatoe chips..
It is all used and constantly, even in high speed.
Preparing a healthy meal, eating in silence, tasting the food and taking time for it is something most people no longer do Look around you in a restaurant, have a close look at how people eat.

The food we eat now has changed.
There is less and less natural if it comes to food. All kinds of chemicals are used to make the food taste different and be able to store it for a longer time What you eat daily are chemicals and they are bad for the health.

A.G.E.s are also found in everything that is baked/prepared with a high temp.
So if you like to bbq you will feed your body a high amount of A.G.E. The black stuff at your meat (you call it crusty I call it burned) is poison.
So are baked, dark pancakes (in Holland you can buy them at the supermarket you only need to warm them up) is toasted bread, are fried eggs, French fries, baked potatoes, is the meat, chicken you fry, and everything else you eat or prepare that is fried or baked.

Does not everything causes cancer nowadays?
It sounds like that. No matter what you eat it will harm you sooner or later. Especially if it is too much.
Actually the definitation of poison is: too much of a certain substance! So yes you can kill someone by let him/her drink too much water.

Too much is the key to all.
If you are too active you get overtired
If you are a work aholic you get a burn out
If you eat too much you get overweighted (heart failure, bad knees, feet trouble, diabetis).
If you worry too much you get deprrssed, etc etc

Too much "too" will break you, sooner or later

Fight the A.G.E. in your body!
No, there is no guarantee you will stay healthy. You can not change your d.n.a. and also not the environment you (have to) live in.
But... there is a lot you can do yourself so you will look better, stay younger and healthier.

  • Avoid fast food.
  • Do not eat burned food.
  • Boil chicken, meat, fish.
  • Cook/bake food at a lower temp or shorter (you can wok or steam it).
  • Eat fresh vegetables and fruit (raw, uncooked is always better).
  • Start eating again the quality food your anchestors ate (instead of junk food)
    It will all help you to fight this new poly epidemic.

There is no need to eat a burned pancake. These do taste even better. They are just made out of flour, water, a bit salt and vanilla sugar and baked in.a bit oil.

Good advice @wakeupkitty. Obesity, diabetes and many other diseases have been linked to a poor diet. And, the worst of it is that we are doing it to ourselves. For convenience, we eat fast food when we are out and "comfort" food at home.

Appreciate the wake-up call @wakeupkitty. (Like that little twist?)

I never liked the fast food so you will seldom see mee at a fast food restaurant, but there were times I ate the packages and heath up 'dinners' from the supermarkt as well.. too tired after work to fix something.
Comfort food we just eat a bit at celebrations. Potatoe chips, candies, etc is no longer at my shopping list.

It is hard to change habits and no matter where you are (gym, gasstation, bookshop, school, trainstation... the candy bars and cookies are screaming to buy them... and it seldom tastes great).

@wakeupkitty you are so right we eat to much processed foods or most people do, not many eat cooked greens any more they are full of nutrients, I am the only one in my family that cooks them and I do not know anyone in other family's that cook them.

You are the only one? I think in Holland people still cook but the group of single is doing it less (order a pizza) and so are the younger people if both are working. It is easier to buy something fixed. Even supermarkets sell these lunches and 'dinners'.

@wakeupkitty My kids grew up eating a balanced diet I would cook veggy meat and starch every dinner, you would think they would make sure their kids eat a good meal like that but no, they do not, no vegetables at all, they eat a lot of microwave food. or pizza.

Processed food is a death sentence in a box or can. Cook from fresh support your local farmer especially if they are pesticide free. Remember fast food kills....😎
