Our kidney is one of the most essential organs in our bodies that is required for our survival, I mean literally for us to continue living we need our kidneys in good health. Luckily for us God gave us two of them so in case anything happens to one of them we will continue to still survive. However it doesn't mean we should just go ahead and stress it. There are things we take for granted and today am gonna talk about the top 6 causes of Kidney Diseases.

  1. Do not delay visiting the washroom, keeping faeces in the rectum it's as bad an idea as keeping urine in your bladder for too long. You may end up damaging your bladder. Again urine in the bladder causes bacteria to multiply quickly. Urine kept in the bladder for far too long re-fluxes back into the kidney which may result in kidney infections and urinary tract infections, which may result in nephritis and even uremia.

Hasten to the call of Nature

  1. Avoid Eating too Much Salt, a maximum of 5.8 grams in day is ok

  1. Do not eat too much meat too, protein is not stored in the body, eating too much of it is harmful to your kidneys. The digestion of protein results in production of ammonia which is toxic to your kidneys.

  1. Don't drink too much caffeine, most soft drinks have lots of caffeine, it raises the blood pressure and puts lots of stress on your kidneys.

So cut down your coke intake. lol

  1. Drink lots of water, not drinking water dehydrates the kidneys and affects the proper functioning. This causes toxic build up in our blood. Take not less than 10 glasses of water daily.

The lighter the colour of your urine, the better

  1. Regular Checkups, avoid procrastination when it comes to your health, treat all your issues properly and with a sense of urgency. You save your kidney from lots of stress.

But how can I measure the 5.8grams of salt a day? Because when they bring tasty food you can't measure the quantity of salt there.
