As a therapist that works on cognitive rehabilitation for the geriatric population, I am glad to see this information being shared with the community. Along with very alarming information that we are finally discovering about the impacts of high-sugar "western diets", we are learning that our daily habits have large impacts on the disease processes of dementia, heart disease, cancers, diabetes. Since our body and mind are not separate but both part of "us", quality of life and health is incomplete when we do not address stressors to our system.

I am only just beginning a monthly series about my personal weight loss, but my first article included a couple of articles that looked at the links between way of eating and cognitive impairments. Thanks for bringing additional attention to this impactful healthy habit!
