10,000x More Effective Than Chemotherapy, Reduces Joint Pain, 100x More Effective Than Antibiotics and So Much More

The journey to better health continues and here is the update to The Daily Cocktail. The benefits are already beginning to take hold and I can tell a difference if my system becomes depleted of the nutrients and other elements in this mixture. It has taken some time to produce this follow up to ensure what is reported is as accurate and up-to-date as possible. Taking care of ones health is no small task and having the proper information is a key element to success.

Remember, I am not a medical professional/doctor and this is not intended as medical advice.

I met with a holistic health professional to ensure what I am doing, how I am doing and every ingredient involved is used in proper amounts and the ingredients, themselves, do not harm the liver, kidney or any other organ. Yes, The Daily Cocktail is a combination of herbs, oils and fruits, however, certain combinations, over time, may cause problems and in order to avoid the possibility of any problems I wanted to speak with someone far more knowledgable than myself.

What has happened is the recipe has been in a state of change almost since the day I first wrote about this wonderful life altering cocktail. Ingredients have been added, processes have changed, as well as results, and The Daily Cocktail is now more supercharged than I ever dreamed!

What follows is based on the conversation with the holistic healthcare professional and her recommendations for dosage, ingredients and use.

For the record, the following smoothie is drank 3 or 4 days per week. All the ingredients, to the best of my knowledge, are 100% certified organic, GMO free and as fresh as I can find. All of these items are purchased at a grocery store, not directly from the source, so there is always a question, for me, wether or not the products are 100% organic, GMO free or whatever the claim the company makes. When your profit margins increase 10-30% instantly because the word "organic" or "GMO Free" is used there is plenty of motivation for lying and cheating. If you follow my work you already know that I am highly skeptical of any large corporation and everything they say or do.

When I started this adventure I was working from various sources that I read everyday, like Natural News, Natural Soceity and Green Med Info, to name but a few, and I kept coming across how awesome turmeric and ginger is and they really are wonder-drugs that you eat and there is plenty of news, everyday, about the health benefits of marijuana - more specifically, the active ingredient, THC. I will not, today, smoke marijuana but I want the benefits this seeming cure-all drug has to offer. My current work-around is using CBD oil which is an extract produced from the entire plant, flower buds, leaves and stems.

On to the good stuff!!

Resized_20160729_080658This is what it all looks like, my morning medicine cabinet to produce The Daily Cocktail! The fresh items, like blueberries, are in constant flux to continually feed a variety of nutrients and minerals into my system.

As the weeks have passed-by there have already been significant changes to the routine and the ingredient list. For example, when I first started I was using powdered ginger and powdered turmeric. I very quickly moved to the fresh items and the difference was felt almost immediately.

We are going to look at each item, individually, and explain a handful of the benefits of these items. The benefits, makeup and reasoning behind each item will be provided from a variety of sources, including a local holistic doctor. Link to these sources will be provided throughout the article and I want to encourage you use these links as this article will only provide a synopsis. There will be a greater depth of knowledge that could, potentially, help others with a particular need.

Honey - Usually before I consume The Daily Cocktail I have a big table spoon overflowing with this golden-brown elixir. Local, as close to my house as possible, is an important aspect to honey providing the essential nutrients for the body. The bees gathering the pollen from various flower sources that are in the area gives the body very small doses of each of these resources. What happens is the body naturally develops an immunity to allergies that a great many people suffer. Ragweed, flowering tulip popular trees, Queen Annes lace and a whole host of other "weeds" that produce flowers and produce allergies in humans. Having a local, raw - uncooked, non-pasteurized - source is a key element. Learn more about the benefits of local, raw honey by clicking here.

I wanted to add some thought as to your ingredient ( Honey ). I have been contemplating a hive of my own , but alas after many meetings of the local bee keepers association, the rates of CCD ( colony collapse disorder ) I decided against this idea as my yard does not lend itself to good bee hive characteristics the bees need / prefer.

However, attending many bee meetings this past fall I had the pleasure of meeting a local bee keeper who did a presentation on his methods of bee keeping from a commercial point of view. His operation produces over 100,000 pounds twice a year. He then stated he resells his honey to resellers to the retail food chains and commercial users in the baking industry. He said his reason for selling wholesale is that on all his honey he states it is sold for re-processing purposes only, as he assured us that <style="text-decoration: underline;">depending upon where the bees are placed and the type of pollen the bees collect can have amounts of pesticides that are not good for human consumption, and he did not want the liability. When you buy your honey I would advise using a local apiarist directly and be sure to question where he places his bees and what the surrounding pollen source is if possible. Two sources the professional bee keeper stated you do not want to consume is close to corn crops or bean crops as both require heavy pesticide use! Also, he noted that even a local back yard bee keeper can have quite contaminated honey from the yards people have had professionally sprayed with lawn pesticides as well.

FYI, I hope this helps your health journey. I have learned much from Your’s and Dave’s conversations on the Net and appreciate all you do for us so wanted to return some kindness for your efforts! Keep up the great work you are doing my friend.
I also consume a GMO free, fermented soy based probiotic. It has 50 million active enzymes per serving. I began using this as a suggestion from the holistic health professional that I have been consulting.

The Base:

The ingredients that make up the base of The Daily Cocktail is almond milk, minced garlic, spirulina, black pepper, pink salt, lemon, turmeric root, ginger root, CBD oil, olive leaf extract, coconut oil (unprocessed and uncooked), nutritional yeast and a banana. These items are blended into a smoothie regardless of the other ingredients availability. This is the power station, and support, for the other items. Think of this as the foundation which the other items stand upon. The other ingredients change on a daily or weekly basis in order to feed my system a variety of nutrients from a variety of sources. Ingredients like kale, chard, blueberries, blackberries, kiwi, spinach and a host of others, come and go on a regular basis. A typical portion of any of these additional ingredients would be approximately 1 or 2 ounces (or 1 whole kiwi) of berries, greens and the like.

Beginning this week I will be producing the almond milk used for The Daily Cocktail. It is simple to make and is far superior to the ready-made versions, like the one pictured above. The product featured above will no longer be used. It is cheaper and better to make it myself. Click here for the basic recipe.

Minced garlic is natures way saying - stay healthy! The elements found within garlic are vital to the bodies health. Not only does garlic maintain good health it prevents bad things from taking root in ones system. Anti-infection, boost the immune system, fights/prevents cancer, detox the body and fights inflammation. Learn more here.

Spirulina or pond scum is one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet. One negative to this green food is fish - it smells fishy and tastes fishy. It comes from water sources where fish live. The good news is when combined with all the other ingredients the fishy aspect is a non-issue - you don't know it's there. The benefits certainly outweigh this one negative. - as a caution - do NOT get this on your clothes - it has stained one of my favorite shirts.

“It contains vitamins B-1(thiamine), B-2 (riboflavin), B-3(nicotinamide), B-6 (pyridoxine), B-9 (folic acid), vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin A and vitamin E. It is also a source of potassium, calcium, chromium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, selenium, sodium and zinc. Spirulina contains many pigments which may be beneficial and bioavailable”. Source
Lemon, come to find out is like a little store house of nutrients and improves digestion. The next time your at a restaurant and the waiter brings you a glass of water, don't forget the lemon!! It's a pretty big deal in the health of your digestive system.

Rather than give you a simple "bullet point" about the greatness of adding fresh lemon to your diet click this link to a plethora of information on the endless benefits. You can thank me later!

Turmeric root has been studied, restudied and studied some more. With several thousand research papers on this wonder-drug it is one of the main reasons I began this venture. Turmeric root has been used for hundreds, if not thousands, of years as a spice in cooking. If you have ever enjoyed middle eastern, India or pacific rim nations foods odds are you have come in contact with this as a spice. The health benefits are off the chart.

Recently it was proven that turmeric may prevent cancer, it definitely reduces swelling and inflammation. I have reached the conclusion, not through research but logic, that inflammation is one of the greatest threats to our health. Swelling/inflammation is the body being attacked by something, either internally or externally, and reacting to this attack. If there is a counter-attack, or better still a defense already in place, the aggressor has less likely a chance of doing any harm.

Here is a short list of scientifically backed studies on the benefits of this amazing root!

  • Improves brain function
  • Reduces the risk of skin and prostate cancer
  • Good for your eyes
  • Fights obesity
  • Boosts metabolism
  • Treats arthritis and joints pain
  • Liver cleanse
  • Benefits to people with Parkinson’s disease
  • Boosts immune system
  • Cures depression and stress
  • Treats sleep disorders
  • Cures Psoriasis
  • Prevents stomach ulcers
  • Cures acid reflux
  • Lowers risk of heart disease
  • Good for your skin
  • Boosts energy
Ginger root is the other reason for beginning this journey. When I found out there had been some 7,000+ studies on ginger root, and that one of the many health benefits was the prevention of cancer, well, that should be enough to get anyones attention. The last study that I am aware proved that ginger was 10,000x more effective than chemotherapy in attacking and killing certain cancers. It also attacks inflammation/swelling and reduces stress - two of the greatest causes of our illness's today are stress and inflammation.

This is actually the article that has influenced my journey. I highly recommend reading this short explanation and pay close attention to the other foods mentioned and some of the health benefits they bring to the table - Click here for the article

CBD oil is made from cannabis extract and is, currently, under attack by the DEA. These criminals, part of the overall problem, have labeled CBD oil as a Schedule 1 drug - meaning it has no medicinal value and there can be NO research conducted on this medicine! Why does the federal government have a medical patent on marijuana if there is no medicinal value and who conducted the research to determine the structure of the patents?

Marijuana has been classified as a Schedule 1 drug for a number of decades. This prohibits the research and study of this plant/drug/medicine - but only if you're outside of the federal government and the National Institute of Health (NIH) -

<style="text-decoration: underline;">Over the years, the NIH has conducted and funded research involving cannabis — both as a drug of abuse and for its <style="text-decoration: underline;">potential therapeutic properties, said Renate Myles, an NIH spokeswoman. Source
On the other hand, outside the "land of the free" people are studying the medical benefits of marijuana and reporting the many benefits of THC.
Although CBD and THC act on different pathways of the body, they seem to have many of the same medical benefits. According to a 2013 review published in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, studies have found CBD to possess the following medical properties:
Medical Properties of CBD Effects
Antiemetic Reduces nausea and vomiting
Anticonvulsant Suppresses seizure activity
Antipsychotic Combats psychosis disorders
Anti-inflammatory Combats inflammatory disorders
Anti-oxidant Combats neurodegenerative disorders
Anti-tumoral/Anti-cancer Combats tumor and cancer cells
Anxiolytic/Anti-depressant Combats anxiety and depression disorders

Olive leaf oil is an item that I was unfamiliar with when I began this journey back in 2016. What I have learned is olive extracts keep gout, arthritis at bay and provides for neuroprotection of the brain. Anything that helps my brain function at a higher level and protects me from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease is going in the mix!
Olive extracts help protect the brain and central nervous system from the destruction brought on by strokes and age-related degenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.50 They accomplish this by suppressing inflammation and reducing the damage done by oxidative stress.

In acute brain injuries such as those caused by a stroke or trauma, damaging processes such as oxidative stress occur within minutes of the original event—and, ironically, are worsened by the return of normal blood flow to the area.50,51 Source
Coconut oil is another of the wonder drugs that has only within the past decade become better understood and recognized for it's health and healing benefits. Originally, I began using it is a "binder" for turmeric root. Turmeric root is not easily absorbed into the system, but a little coconut oil and black pepper allows the body to not only extract the benefits of turmeric the black pepper increases it's use within the body - added bonus!

Here is a chart from OrganicFacts.net showing some of the benefits of incorporating coconut oil into the diet

Nutritional yeast has been part of my diet for well over 20 years. I began using it in my diet because of the B vitamins that it contains. I use the large flake nutritional yeast and it has a somewhat nutty flavor. For many years I would simply sprinkle it on food, everything from oatmeal to a baked potato and everything in between. Now, I simply add it to The Daily Cocktail.

Some facts about nutritional yeast from Dr Mercola's website

Nutritional yeast is a unique and rich source of many nutrients, including B vitamins, amino acids, at least 14 minerals and 17 vitamins (not including vitamins A, C and E). It also contains phosphorus, chromium and more.

As noted, it is a myth that it naturally contains B12, but this vitamin is often added in. Nutritional yeast also contains beta-1,3 glucan, trehalose, mannan and glutathione, which support healthy immune function.2

According to yeast expert Seymour Pomper, Ph.D., not only is nutritional yeast safe to eat, but it's also the fourth most prescribed herbal monopreparation in Germany because of its anti-viral and antibacterial properties. It may be useful for the following indications:3

  • Candida infection
  • Chronic acne
  • Loss of appetite
  • Diarrhea
  • Immune system stimulation
This update should provide you with a good foundation to begin your study. Remember, I am not a medical professional/doctor and this is not intended as medical advice. The Daily Cocktail is something that I do for myself. As time goes by and the recipe continues to morph, improve and change I will update this information. For now, know that I feel better, have tons more energy and feel as if my body is healing itself from the decades of abuse. My body feels as if it is building a defensive shield against unwanted intruders. I have a long way to go before I can claim any type of "victory" but victory is not the goal. The goal is feeling better, sticking around longer and being able to enjoy my time on this wonderful planet. Is life worth living inside a bubble or worse?

Here is the recipe if you care to follow along.

Total prep time, including simmering, is approximately 1 hour. This recipe renders approximately 3-5 cups (depending on additional ingredients).

1 sauce pan - the pot I use is ruined. The turmeric has stained the pot and my wife refuses to use it for anything else. It is now dedicated to the cause! I will be replacing the current sauce pan with a solid copper tea kettle or sauce pan. The copper, which I am just learning about, adds nutrients to the diet as well. More about copper in a future update.

between 20 and 32oz spring water

8oz almond milk

black pepper - about 2 pinches

pink salt - about a pinch - do not over use this item

one whole lemon - squeezed and boiled!

spirulina - 1/2 teaspoon (this will stain your clothes and possibly your countertops - you have been warned)

minced garlic - 1/2 teaspoon

turmeric root - fresh - approximately the length of my thumb - sliced as thin as possible (this will probably change) (this will stain your clothes and possibly your countertops - you have been warned)

ginger root - fresh - approximately the length of my thumb - sliced as thin as possible (this will probably change)

CDB oil - as directed on the package - 2 squirts

olive leaf extract - as directed on the package - 1 tablespoon

coconut oil - 1/2 teaspoon

nutritional yeast - 1 tablespoon

banana - 1 whole

Squeeze the lemon into blender, take the lemon peel and place into approximately 8oz spring water in a pot on the stove. Add pinch of pink salt to the pot. Slice the turmeric and ginger root and add to the pot on the stove. Cover the pot to trap as much of the steam as possible. I then bring this to a boil. I turn the heat back to simmer - high end of simmer - and allow it simmer for 30 minutes.

I add the following ingredients to the blender while the roots, lemon and salt are simmering:

black pepper, minced garlic, spirulina, CBD oil, coconut oil, olive leaf extract and nutritional yeast

I then add the "juice" from the sauce pan to the blender. This will melt the coconut oil. I do not add all the turmeric, ginger nor the lemon to the blender. I do, however, add some of the turmeric and ginger to the blender that have been simmering and discard the whole lemon from the sauce pan. Approximately 1/3 of the sliced turmeric and ginger are added to the blender. The banana and whatever else I have gathered for the week is then added to the blender. I blend and blend and blend and blend - allowing it approximately a full minute. I have a high speed blender (most of the newer blenders are high speed) and it pulverizes everything into a greenish liquid. The taste is not horrible but it will take you by surprise the first few times you enjoy this elixir of life.
