The German New Medicine

in #health7 years ago

The German or Germanic New Medicine is an unofficial yet interesting alternative approach to treating diseases, especially cancer. This method was developed approximately 35 years ago by a German ex-physician called Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer.

About Hamer

Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer was born in 1935 and grew up in Frisia, Germany. He received his high school diploma at age 18 and started medical and theological studies in Tubingen, where he met Sigrid Oldenburg, a medical student who later became his wife. At age 20, he passed the preliminary examination in medicine, married a year later, and completed his theological examinations at 22. A daughter was born to the young family and a son, Dirk.
In 1972, Hamer completed his specialization in internal medicine. He also worked in a practice with his wife Dr. Sigrid Hamer. He had always had a specific hobby: Patenting his inventions, examples of which are the non-traumatic Hamer-scalpel for plastic surgery which cuts twenty times more sharply than a razor; a special bone saw, also for plastic surgery; a massage table that automatically adjusts to the contours of the body, and a device for transcutaneous serum diagnosis. The Hamers were a healthy and happy family until August, 1978, when a terrible event shook their lives: An Italian prince of the House of Savoy accidentally shot Dirk Hamer while he was asleep on a boat anchored on the island of Cavallo. Dirk's battle with death lasted for almost four months, while his father watched over him day and night. Dirk finally died on December 7th, 1978. As became clear three years later, this resulted in a loss conflict for Dr. Hamer, which caused a testicular carcinoma. He later named this conflict the "Dirk Hamer Syndrome", a biological conflict shock that catches one unexpectedly "on the wrong foot".

The development of his method

In 1981, Hamer thought that these connections applied only to cancer and had no idea that the IRON RULE OF CANCER would become the central discovery for all of medicine. He submitted his discovery to the University in Tubingen in October, 1981 as a post-doctoral thesis for qualification as a university lecturer. The main objective of the thesis was to provide his results to the University so that they could be tested on the next available cases as quickly as possible and benefit patients! In May 1982 the University rejected the work on the interconnections between the psyche and cancer, without testing a single case for reproduction, something they later admitted to in court. In the next few years, Hamer tried repeatedly to open a hospital or a clinic as a refuge for his patients so that they could benefit from his knowledge. This was always made impossible by concerted action against it. Sigrid Hamer died in 1985, clearly from sorrow over the death of her son, and demoralized by the ceaseless intimidation inflicted by the powerful Savoy family. The persecution reached a high point in 1986 when the District of Koblenz initiated an action to stop Hamer from practicing medicine on the basis that he "failed to deny the Iron-Rule-of-Cancer and failed to convert to the tenets of official medicine". Nothing happened until January 3, 1994 when the judgment to validate Hamer's thesis was executed, a unique process in the history of universities! However, after 13 years, it was unlikely that the University would test the German New Medicine on the next available cases. On the 22nd April, the University announced that "a verification within the framework of the post-doctoral thesis is not planned". In 1994, Hamer expanded his system to the 5 biological laws that cover all diseases in the entire field of medicine, based on research of 20,000 cases.

Since the underlying criteria are completely scientific, it is very easy to test the German New Medicine, as it has been named since then. Physicians and physicians' associations all over the world are constantly attesting to its veracity through signed documentation.

The 5 Laws

According to Hamer, the Germanic New Medicine can be summarized in these five biological laws:

1st law.(“Iron Rule”): Severe diseases originate from a shock event which is experienced by the individual as very difficult, highly acute, dramatic and isolating. The shock’s psychological conflict content determines the location of the appearance of a focus of activity in the brain in a certain area, forming concentric circles. The subsequent development of the conflict determines the development of both the brain focus and the disease.

2nd law (Two phased nature of disease): A patient who has not solved their conflict is in the first, active conflict phase. If they manage to resolve the conflict, they enter a second, post-resolution healing phase, in which the parasympathetic nervous system predominates, commonly diagnosed as a separate “warm” (rheumatic, infectious, allergic, etc.) disease. This second phase is the one which usually entails more risks, and a complete cure only comes upon its completion. In some circumstances, not solving the conflict but downgrading it to a reasonably livable level may be preferable than facing the second phase.

3rd law (Ontogenetic system of diseases): Hamer proposes that disease progression is primarily controlled by the brain, either by the "old brain" (brain stem and cerebellum) or the "new brain" (cerebrum). The old brain controls more primitive processes, having to do with basic survival, such as breathing, eating, and reproduction, whereas the new brain manages more advanced personal and social issues, such as territorial conflicts, separation conflicts and self-devaluation and identity conflicts.
Conflicts which have their focus either in the brain stem or the cerebellum show cell multiplication in the conflict active phase, and destruction of the resulting tumors in the healing phase. Cerebrum directed conflicts (affecting the rest of mesoderm-derived tissues and all ectoderm-derived ones) show either cell decrease (necroses, ulcers) or function impairment or interruption in the active phase, and the replenishment of the damaged tissues in the healing phase (which can also be diagnosed as a tumor).

4th law (Ontogenetic system of microbes): Microbes do not cause diseases but are used by the body, coordinated by the brain, to optimize the healing phase, provided that the required microbes are available when needed.
Note: This would explain why our sterile, bacteria-free lifestyle in modern times has not made us more vulnerable to experiencing health issues. And also why people that live in constant connection with nature are more resistant to diseases. Something we could do is to use more natural products (like butter instead of margarine) and to not wash our hands so often (because it kills bacteria), among other actions.

5th law (“Quintessence”): The conflict active phase and the healing phase of diseases, as described above, constitute “special meaningful programs of nature,” developed during the evolution of the species, to allow organisms to override everyday functioning in order to deal with particular emergency situations.

Conclusion:

These rules imply that there is no real disease. We should respect and accept nature just like it is. And whenever we have a disease, we should start to follow a more natural lifestyle and stop creating 'bad energy' with our thoughts and the disease will automatically be reversed by our body.

Positive response

Although the approach of Mr. Hamer is not widely embraced by the community of doctors and physicians, there are a few doctors that follow his technique and recommend it to their patients. You can check out some success stories here, but I don't know if they are official.

Critics

Dr. Hamer has been accused of letting between 140 and 148 patients worldwide die. National oncology institution from different countries state that no case of a cancer cure by Hamer has been published in the medical literature, nor any studies in specialised journals. Reports in his books "lack the additional data that are essential for medical assessment" and the presentations of his investigations, at medical conferences "are scientifically unconvincing".
Proponents of alternative cancer treatments also regard his theory skeptically and argue for supportive evidence. In some countries, it is even forbidden to follow his method, since it may represent a danger to the patient's health and a worsening of his condition.
There is also a conspiracy that says that Hamer just wanted to decimate non-Jews through his technique.

Final conclusion

Everything in life has pros and cons. And even if this method is widely rejected by health organisations and doctor communities, there are some people claiming that this technique has worked for them. As always, you have some freedom to determine the kind of lifestyle you want to have. His theories, although not officially recognised, present an interesting insight into the causes of disease and acknowledge that our thinking can heal us or kill us, a theory that I personally support.

What do you think? Is the German New Medicine an approach that definitely works or not? Should we change our view towards disease and health? In how far do our thoughts influence our life?
