  We need food to survive.Along with physical growth, food demand continued to grow.But many of us don't eat food according to the body's needs, and many people ate too much food,so we can't control our health.As a result,we suffer from many diseases,unknowingly.So we become worried about our health.But if we know about our own BMI,then we can know how much food should we take.Here I will tell you that.How you can determinate your BMI.Now follow me.

What is BMI?

The body mass index (BMI) is a value derived from the mass (weight) and height of an individual. The BMI is defined as the body mass divided by the square of the body height, and is universally expressed in units of kg/m2, resulting from mass in kilograms and height in metres.By knowing the BMI value you can take enough step to free you from diseases.

Determination of BMI

There are several formula to determinate BMI.Such as:UK,USA and SI method.Now we will  know SI and USA methods.Because these are most used.

SI Method: 

BMI=mass (kg)/height²(m)  

USA Method: 

BMI=703* mass (lbs)/height² (in)  

Example:  
My mass is 58 kg,my height 1.70 metre in SI method my BMI will 

58/(1.70)²=20.069=20.07

USA method: Mass=127.868 pound Height=66.9291 inch.My BMI is 

703*127.868/66.9291²=20.067=20.07 

Value Indicator:


Under 18.5= You are emaciated.Increase eating. 

18.5-24.9=   You are fit.

25-29.9   = You should exercise regularly to fit you. 

30-34.9   = You are in first stage of having Extra mass. 

35-39.9   = You are in first stage of having Extra mass.You are in Danger. 

Above 40 = You are really in danger because you are extra fat.You should go to the Doctor.  

Cons:

1.This may be differ by country.

2.Differ by gender.

BMI is not a good way to measure obesity and health, are the people with a more muscle mass obese too ? ;)
