The color of urine is strongly related to your drinking behavior, to how hydrated you are. Dark urine colors can be because of several reasons, such as drinking dark-colored drinks, or drinking less water. As you said, it can also result from eating dark color fruits or vegetables. But...this should not be taken lightly, as it can also means there is something wrong in the body.
However, most of the time, it is simply because of your drinking behavior. There is an interesting publication on this.
