A U.S. soldier who dropped a ear in a car crash received a new ear that was "grown" in her arm, physicians say.

Burrage didn't get rid of hearing within her damaged ear and physicians emptied the canal, which closed after the car crash, according to the military post.

"(The ear) will have new arteries fresh veins and also a brand new guts so she'll be able to sense it," explained Lt. Col. Owen Johnson III, leader, Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery at WBAMC, Fox Newsreported.
