How will alcohol affect my results?


You will become faster if you have a drink? Six beers will destroy your six pack?
This question is not easy to answer!

In small quantities - one or two drinks a day - has health benefits. In high doses can cause an accident, you may have hit on a friend's wife or you urinate in the pool at a party. But I will not tell you about the dangers of alcohol.

Alcohol is macronutrients the same as carbohydrates, fat and protein and has an energy value of 7 kcal / g. Where has calories, it should be usable energy.
And here is the trick - Alcohol is not an essential nutrient so body doesnt need it for survive, our body does not use ethanol as energy. Our body ethanol treated like a poison and fight to be resolved as soon as possible.


Effects on Exercise


You have surely realize that alcohol and exercise do not really go hand in hand. Its consumption not only affects the training itself, but also the recovery of muscle that is longer lasting and more painful due to reduced interactions between muscles and nerves. Alcohol also has a negative impact on testosterone, and we all know how much testosterone is important for building muscle mass. When we consume alcohol in the liver is produced substance that is toxic and fatal for testosterone!
Given that, alcohol disrupts sleep, becaouse of that the negative impact is on growth hormone, another hormone that is responsible for the growth of muscle and other cells, and that is very important if you really want the best results. It acts as a diuretic - there is a loss of fluid, electrolytes and dehydration which is not good for your progress.
Be moderate, alcohol is not forbidden but every exaggerating will affect your progress.!

Alcohol and diet


Regular consumption of alcohol kills the good bacterias in our bowels, then digestion comes to a halt - the food we eat stays longer in the stomach and causes a bloating, pressure, dizziness...
Alcohol may also slow the absorption of nutrients in the body, a negative impact on the immune system and exhausts reserves of essential minerals such as potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium.
Alcohol keeps the secretion of leptin, so after drinking alcohol very often we eat more food than we really need.

At the end, the hangover after excessive alcohol intake significantly negative impact on your ability to exercise.
But besides the direct feeling of tiredness and weakness of a hangover, alcohol can affect on the less obvious ways: alcohol negatively affects the quality of regenreation, which further contributes to the feeling of fatigue and weakness and lack of energy during training.

Good advice! Alcohol is just a drug/poison that should be enjoyed rather than consumed for escapism. Never anything good comes from it.
