How to improve memory
Many factors influence the maintenance and development of the ability to remember, process, and assimilate new information. At a young age, you can remember almost everything - the heart and blood vessels are healthy, there are no chronic diseases, every day you have to receive and remember new information at school. When the need to remember a lot of information decreases, it weakens. Regular training is required to maintain the ability to remember. Any intellectual exercises are suitable. Some learn foreign languages, others learn a lot of poems, lyrics. To firmly remember new information, it should be often repeated, best in the morning, when the brain have already rested and did not start to get new impressions. Depending on the specifics of professional activity, development of the visual, auditory, motor, tactile, olfactory variety may be required. To improve memory, it takes uncomplicated conditions: the brain needs rest, so a sufficient night sleep is needed to develop memory; for better memorization oxygen is required, so it's worth getting a habit of walking every day, often ventilating the room; the ability to memorize worsens with various nervous shocks, stresses, so they must be avoided in every possible way.
To develop memory you need iodine
The thyroid gland produces hormones thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), which are necessary for the optimal course of metabolic reactions. The production of these hormones depends on the intake of sufficient iodine in the body. Adults per day need up to 150mg of iodine, during pregnancy the norm rises to 200mkg. With insufficient activity of the thyroid gland (hypothyroidism), the skin becomes pale and rough, flakes off, reactions are slow, mood changes are frequent, patients complain of a bad memory. In addition, speech becomes slowed, weakness is felt, hair falls out, heart rate decreases, blood pressure decreases, nose mucosa swells, which makes breathing difficult, lack of appetite, gall stones form, constipation becomes frequent. Anemia is combined with an increase in blood coagulability.
The brain is 80% worth of water, so it sensitively reacts to its lack by weakening the ability to remember, impairing attention. It is necessary to eliminate dehydration, as memory improves. Every day, you need to drink up to 8 glasses of clean water, especially useful melt water. Water improves memory, attention, increases the ability to concentrate, to perceive new information, to give strength. It is required to consume so much water that urine remains pale throughout the day. To improve memory, you should stop using coffee, tea, soda, chocolate - any beverages containing caffeine. Caffeine inhibits the enzyme phosphodiesterase, necessary for the development of the ability to memorize, concentration of attention. In addition, shock doses of caffeine dehydrate the body.
