Signs of calcium deficiency
Calcium is one of the most important nutrients needed by the body.
About 99% of calcium is stored in teeth and bones, while the rest in muscles, blood and tissues. The body needs this mineral to perform many important functions, especially sending signals through the nervous system. Calcium deficiency is common in children as well as postmenopausal women and older women. This can happen by absorbing less calcium from your daily diet.
Other factors include aging, hormonal changes and low vitamin D levels. People tend to ignore the symptoms of calcium deficiency, until the problem becomes out of control. Early signs of calcium deficiency should be identified early on:
1.bones
Lack of calcium can affect bone health because it is needed for bone growth and development.
2. Cramps and muscle aches
Cramps and muscle aches are a sign of calcium. Lack of calcium can cause nerve cells to become extremely sensitive, resulting in cramps.
