Iron Man Cereal!

Ok, that's not an actual cereal but there sure are METAL cereals on the market. I was replying to @venomnymous earlier today on my GMO's in Beer post when I reminded myself of the fact that they put Iron in our cereals. Literally IRON!

Now I'm sure a lot of you have already seen the videos from a few years ago where people were able to pick up Iron shavings with a magnet from their cereals. Fortified foods were created supposedly to reduce the amount of people with iron deficiency and anaemia. Well now the tests are showing that these fortified foods and Iron supplements are doing the opposite. They could be causing people to ingest more Iron then they actually need.

We personally don't buy cereal mostly because of GMO reasons so I'm glad about that. If you look at different forms and research this topic you'll notice that there is a lot of support for adding Iron shavings into the cereals. Let's take a look at a few comments on the forums.

Now these comments in the forum are 5 years old which is right around the time when the videos were going around with the magnet in the cereal. I decided to dig deeper and find some information beyond the main stream mumble jumble where they like to defend their actions. They like to produce stories on how the metals in the cereals would be good for us and how it will save pregnant women who's bodies are low in iron.

Why are toxic metals harmful to the body

  • Lead - Lead can lower your IQ levels
  • Cadmium - Cadmium can cause Kidney damage
  • Arsenic - Arsenic is a cancer-increasing substance

So it seems that heavy metal exposure to our bodies can be extremely harmful. We need to try our best to stay away from products that contain GMO's and heavy metals. Some people are saying that Iron is ok for the body and we need it. Let's take a look at what some researchers are saying on Iron.

Are Heavy Metals Useful For Us?

Some people tend to validate the presence of heavy metals in cereals by arguing that children need more nutrition than grown-ups and more nutrition couldn’t do any harm to the adults too. But this is not true as the intoxicated foods are supplemented with an excess amount of metals. Some researchers even claim that the excessive amount of iron added in cereals lead to lymphatic tissue cancer and leukemia. While they are growing fast, children couldn’t store too much iron in their body. They have a large amount of iron at birth, but that amount decreases gradually as they grow up.

While we generally tend to know about the existence of arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury, there are lots of other heavy metal substances too. Though they are easily found in our natural environment and some are actually needed for our body, high dose of these metals could be detrimental for our body. They can have a negative impact on our mental function, disrupting the regular thinking process. They can have serious impact on our decision making process too. As a result of high intake of these heavy metals, we can experience a reduced capacity or completely damaged central nervous system. They will lead to a state of low energy. An excess amount of heavy metals could make us feel tired and less capable of performing our usual actions. While long-term exposure to these toxic metals could lead to cancer, they can also pave the way for Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.

We all must realize by now that the government is not here to help us in any way. It's going to be up to us to help ourselves. We can look into things like detoxification and Oral Chelation to rid our bodies from the heavy metal exposure.

I seem to also be finding articles showing heavy metals in baby food and baby formula. Now before I go I wanted to show you the 10 worst children's cereals for sugar content.

I didn't know about the metal shavings in breakfast cereals but I do now thanks to you @hendrix22

Really good post once again!

I'm glad I was able to inform you on something. Something to think about well at the grocery store now ;)

“FREE NICK FURY EYE PATCH INSIDE”

I just ordered 50 cases.

You're going to love it then!

We all must realize by now that the government is not here to help us in any way.

It is so painful that the government cares for only their profits not protecting the citizenry who supposedly put them there. With so much toxins in our foods, I wonder if they still eat the same food or they have theirs made specially.

Hahaha so funny that you say that. They must all have their own grocery store somewhere. There is no way they eat this crap. Either that or all there butlers, cooks and whoever else just use real organic vegetables and grain fed free range meat for all their prepared meals.

Wow thanks for the information, it is really concerning that something so "simple" as cereal can be that bad, we all had grown up with the "cereal is good for you, part for blanaced nutrition" and seeing this makes you think twice about what you are really eating, thank you.

That's the problem with most things. We are brain washed into thinking all these things are good but then they turn out bad for us in the end. Hell they used to think asbestos was a good insulation and look at it now.
They use hazmat suits and onsite showers to remove it from stuff.

The average daily iron intake from foods and supplements 19.3–20.5 mg/day in men and 17.0–18.9 mg/day in women older than 19

So that serving of cereal gives you 80% of what you need? Is that what you're saying to me?

That is great post... everyone must read IMFO... Upvoted and followed. Thanks for sharing... Have a @funworlding.. Peace and Love from Spain.

I want to go to Spain really badly! Sending love back

After 20 something years in London, Spain is really paradise... sun, sea and most importantly FREEDOM!

Sounds wonderful! I heard they are really laid back there and enjoy life!

2pm-5pm everyone on siesta. I am getting use to it... :) Steem will rise up, I will do it more often, hope! No stress also making life more healthier . C'mon! get this life saving place!

Follower #1000! Too much iron in sugar cereals are great for creating dementia

Yes you're correct! They do create dementia and Alzheimers

My dad got Alzheimer’s in his late 50’s. He loved cereal and ibuprofen

So shitty man! I'm staying far away from cereals!

All cereals in a box are complete junk. The nutritional value is in the milk if you want to consume that. Grandmas old fasioned oatmeal and cream of wheat cooked on the stove and eggs are the best breakfast. Anything they fortify is not real food anyways

I agree! I also won't eat the eggs from the store though because they're disgusting and I don't drink milk because that dirty puss liquid is nasty. I do drink coffee cream though and that's nasty too but I loves it! My weakness :( They got me

no I dont drink milk. it was just a point that you could pour yourself a bowl of milk rather than milk and cereal. same nutrition. yes i have not got around that coffee cream. u know ..way back in the day. milk was not really all that bad. its bastardized

Thank you for bringing out the awareness of this. Natural organic food is still the best. We really don't need to these fortified foods at all.

I agree so much! I know why they make them. The same reason we still use oil and gas etc... We infidelity do not need these garbage food.

hmmm, I wonder if it's bad for the heart?

I would say most definitely!
