🌿 Natural Methods for Detoxing Mercury ☠️ : Part II

in #health3 years ago

We are publishing an important a series on the causes, symptoms, and solutions for a very serious threat to public health: mercury toxicity.

While all of the entire series contains relevant and valuable information, it has been leading up to THIS post in which we will outline a natural detox protocol if you are suffering from mercury toxicity. Woohoo, we're finally here!!!

So you are ready to detox mercury with a natural method?

  1. Have you done your own research? Please take a moment to read through our previous articles and to follow the links we provide here; it is information that could very well save your life or the lives of your loved ones.
  2. Are you supporting your body for optimal elimination?
  3. Have you safely removed all your amalgam fillings and checked your root canals?
  4. Have you started health improvement steps for an overall easier detox?

If you can check off the whole list, then let's detox some mercury!!

The natural method is really simple and easy; there are only a few fruits, plants/herbs, and algae that you need to consume, preferably each day if you can, in order to get the most from your detox.  Because some of these items do not taste that great on their own, it is suggested you consume them in a smoothie form.

Here is what you need:

1. Hawaiian Spirulina - 2 teaspoons per day

This algae will help pull heavy metals from the liver, brain, and central nervous system. It will also help clean up dropped metals that some other binders can't hold onto for the duration of the trip out of your body.

We suggest Hawaiian derived spirulina for its ability to prevent potential contamination issues. We recommend this brand, as it is one we have used with great success, but we always recommend you do your own research!

For more info, please read Spirulina - Pond Scum or Powerful Protein?

2. Organic or home grown Cilantro - one cup per day

As mentioned in our last post, cilantro is one of those amazing herbs that pulls heavy metals from deep stored places in your body, much of which you may have had your entire life.

Cilantro is wonderful at chelating metals & pulling them out, but it is not the strongest binder to carry them all the way out of the body.

3. Barley grass juice powder - 1 or 2 teaspoons each day

This beautiful plant does all kinds of wonderful things, but it is potentially the least talked about in the detox world!

First, it works great in conjunction with spirulina to pick up as much mercury as possible. Second, pulls heavy metals from the spleen, pancreas, thyroid, reproductive system (something to check out if you are having trouble conceiving), and the intestinal tract (hello, nutritional deficiencies!!). Another little know fact about BGJP is there have been studies done showing it can even pull toxins from around a fetus while still in utero!

Detoxing is not really recommended if you are pregnant, but if you are going to do anything, please make sure to add this to your regiment.

Again we recommend a brand we have used with great success, but we always recommend you do your own research! You have to make sure you buy a quality brand of BGJP, because if it is farmed from a less than ideal source, you may get one that contains mold or other fungus. This is not beneficial to your health for detoxing or otherwise.

4. Wild blueberries - 1 or 2 cups per day

This is very important for people who have had amalgam fillings (sometimes called "silver" fillings) in their mouths, which are 50% mercury by weight.

Wild blueberries will not only pull mercury from brain tissue, but it also repairs and heals gaps in tissue caused by oxidation when the heavy metals start coming out. Cultivated blueberries just don't possess the same metal drawing abilities as wild ones.

Some people might think that organic blueberries are better than wild; keep in mind that wild grown blueberries should be naturally grown without pesticides anyway! This used to be much harder to come by, but now you should be able to find brands such as Wyman's wild blueberries in the freezer section of most stores. If you have the ability to harvest them fresh yourself from a source you trust, that is the best option!

5. Chlorella tablets or powder - 5 to 30 tablets a day (or equivalent in powder form)

Chlorella has long been known to pull and bind heavy metals in the body from many areas, but it often gets a bad rap for its ability to detox for a few reasons.

One, it is true that chlorella is a weak binder and often won't hold the metals through the entire process of fecal elimination...unless you happen to have a SUPER clean system and are pooping 3 or 4 times a day, but this is not the case for many people, especially those sick with mercury poisoning.

Second, because of this nonpermanent binding ability, you have to make sure you are getting the CLEANEST version of chlorella possible. Many people buy a "natural, organic" brand of chlorella without researching and they get much sicker when they start to take it. This is because redistribution is at play, not only for the mercury it picks up in your body but also what you could be getting from the chlorella itself if it grew in a mercury contaminated water source.

So far, there is only one brand we recommend because it is the only one we have found grown in a sterile lab, far from contaminated water. It is non-GMO and is still a natural product.

For more info, please read Chlorella - Super Hype or Superfood?

6. Atlantic Dulse - 1 or 2 tablespoons a day

Dulse is the pièce de résistance for metal detoxing! You can get it in flakes or whole leaf.

Dulse is a seaweed that not only binds to mercury but also aluminum, copper, lead, cadmium and nickel! It is wonderful at pulling and binding to mercury all on its own. It will primarily pull metals from the digestive tract and stomach.

What makes Atlantic dulse so special is that it is the only substance we have been able to find that will NOT release metals once they are collected, so it also mops up after some of the weaker binders listed above. DO NOT leave this out of your detoxing regiment!

We have a great recipe for a DETOX SMOOTHIE to enjoy every day:

  • 1-2 cups of organic mixed berries; raspberries (which help also kill candida and mold), blackberries, etc.
  • 2 cups wild blueberries
  • 1 cup cilantro
  • 1 cup orange juice (optional for extra vitamin C)
  • 1 tsp barley grass juice powder
  • 1 tsp spirulina
  • 1 small handful of Atlantic dulse
  • Optional: water to blend

  • Blend all ingredients until smooth. Add water to desired consistency.

  • Chlorella can be taken separately as tablets or blended in as powder.
  • If you are having too many side effects from detox and/or feel it is too much for your body to handle, then cut the ratios of each item in your smoothie and try again.

Please keep in mind this is not a comprehensive list of all of things you can use to detox naturally! We talked before about adding things such as Nascent Iodine to your daily regimen or natural substances like diatomaceous earth to help clean out the digestive tract. There are people who take very large doses of vitamin C as part of detoxing therapy, and many other things. These are substances we have had great success with, and can recommend based on research and experience.

In our next post, we will wrap out our topic of detox by addressing a few more things that you can add to this natural detox to help speed up the process of healing as well. Stay tuned!

We hope this will inspire you to do additional research and work towards the best possible health for yourself!

One caveat I need to mention about wild blueberries is that they may not actually be "wild." Many supermarkets are marketing blueberries from wild plants that are managed and sprayed with herbecides and pesticides as "wild."

What they do is find a natural area with wild abundant blueberries. Cut everything down and then manage the regrowth with chemicals and mechanical methods until it becomes a monocrop of "wild" blueberries.

It is very deceptive as to me wild means harvested from the wild. About a year ago I was buying these wild frozen blueberries (President's choice) for my pregnant wife because they were cheaper then organic and I figured they must be just as good or better. After a couple months of this something in my gut told me to investigate and sure enough it was a deception. I doubt they are the only supermarket chain doing this.

Yes that is not hard to believe at all. You can pretty much guarantee that ANYTHING in a package at a store is going to be far less sustainable and healthy than anything you could grow your self or harvest from a real wild environment. Nothing packaged and in bags is going to be wild because there is no way they can produce such quantity and get it to a factory unless its a managed super crop.

Health drinks and food should be encouraged as they reduce the toxin from our body

Yes there are so many ways to engage good health and reduce toxins! Proper hydration and solid nutrition are foundations to a healthy life.

Amazing info! You also just motivated me to makesome barley grass fermented plant juice tomorrow morning!

Excellent post. These are so important informations provided that we need to know to maintain good health. These organic and ayurvedic medicinal plants seems to be very effective...
Thanks for sharing.

Yes there are natural and effective ways to heal and thrive!

Great info here. I had all of my mercury fillings removed a while back, but I feel like I should do something like this now.

Great move and YES you seriously need to detox because it is very toxic and very difficult to get rid of without proper protocol. Gratefull to inspire you!

You have a lot of great info here. I think everybody should try this.

I don't think anybody truly realizes the sheer quantity of toxins we are exposed to and consume on a daily basis, depending on where you live.

Thank you very much for this information! Extremely beneficial information! Two thumbs up! I'm following and upvoting! :)

We are happy to help you get healthier and happier!

Thanks for the support!

This is a fantastic article @gardenofeden! I look forward to following your blog, and learning more! Thanks so much for all the tips, and recipe!

Great article! As you noted, there are other things that are good to remove Hg such as removing mercury fillings, detox with taking green clay with water internally or to take activated charcoal. Getting the mercury out your system clears your mind and it feels like getting the monkey off your back.

gud informatic post.. looking forward to next post in series

Thank you for the great post, @gardenofeden!

Could you possibly do a similar one for removing lead?

Since some recipes are made for heavy metal detox and added the similarities between mercury and lead i would guess these posts points you to a good start at removing led as well.

  1. atlantic dulse: binds lead aswell :) if u missed it!

Thanks @gardenofeden might add some dulse in the morning smoothie :)

Yes we can do one for led. If we dont do it soon then remind us!

What would you suggest taking with the cilantro to help you bind it?

I feel very lucky right now, as I have a Trader Joe’s nearby who sells wild borreal blueberries. I love making smoothies with those, mangoes, and pineapple juice. Mmmmmm. My kids love it ❤️❤️

If you can add all the above to your smoothie you will be doing the best you can for detoxing, but if you can only add ONE thing - Atlantic Dulse all the way!

Nice educative post. I will certainly try this out. I follow and upvote you. Pls do same for mr

Just because you follow us does not mean we follow you, it doesnt work that way, also how much is your vote worth?
How is it fair to trade votes when ours is worth hundreds of times more?

Yes! Thank you for posting this! Much agreed, I add Spirulina to my smoothies almost everyday.

Thanks a lot for the de-tox smoothie recipe! I saved it and I think I will try it someday

That would be a wise choice!
Let us know how it goes.

ooooovvv :(

nice work.

Your much more likely to get flag form such comments.

i usually use home grown Cilantro for detoxing

great and helpful post again thank you for sharing this great post with us

We are happy to help as many people as we can improve their lives.

Thanks for the comment.

really nice post! to rely on nature, for the times we live, it's really right thing !!

Nature has a solution for everything!

Amazing detail, this post really explains the process so well. Thanks for posting.

Truly a meaningful post. Especially impressed with your sourcing details, well done. Too bad thereby aren't more mainland USA spirulina growers... I'm sure Enzyme and antioxidant rich sprouts would support the body's detox process as well.

Yes USA is king of police and toxicity

Hopefully we can help change that.

Sunflower sprouts are amazing to aid the body in healing/detox as well.

i think all of them unnecessary. Do not smoke, do not use alcohol and do sport.
Stop Overthinking Everything
I shouldn’t have spoken up in the meeting today. Everyone looked at me like I was an idiot.
I could have stuck it out at my old job I would be happier if I would have just stayed there
my spouse is going to find someone better than I am. I am going to end up divorced and alone.
I will never get promoted. It does not matter what I do. It’s not going to happen

A very rich article, thanks for your effort

Yes this is many years of many peoples experience going into this article.

Thanks for recognizing.

Thank you for your kindness and useful work. I just know that wheat for the detox grassy water is very useful.

Whao, those are the same dollar store skulls I use in my ink drop photos I have posted on here! Cheers!

thank you very much for the contribution friend, I did not know of these methods and mercury can really become a serious problem as it is found in some foods of marine origin as in tuna and sailfish and if we are not careful until in the diet can be very harmful to health, again thanks!

@r gardenofeden gracias por regalarnos un poquito mas de salud en nuestras vidas!! Muy buen articulo.

It is in my favorites.. thanks

Good job bro

really great! Thanks for sharing!!! :) I've read that most of the fishes we eat have a percentage of mercury... Luckily I don't eat too much fish...

cilantro really is a wonderful thing, it is yummy in a bunch of salads and foods

Thank you for such a great post! I hope soon you can do one for diabetes

This is incredibly valuable information!! The shake idea is so all-inclusive, making this an easy dose of health all in one manageable drink. These mercury posts can change people's lives! Thanks for bringing on the awareness. Great post!

Awesome article, thanks for sharing. Just a heads up though, it's regimen not regiment. As in "you should not leave the blueberries out of your detox regimen." Okay I'll shut up now. ;)
