Injecting vitamins into our veins goes viral - But it's awful

in #health6 years ago

If someone is willing to pay for this, someone else is going to sell it, even if we're talking about mixing pineapple in your blood.

This practice might look cool and sound interesting, which is why I assume it got so popular in Asia, but this is dangerous and ineffective. There is a very large risk of infection through dirty needles, since most specialized clinics do not perform under ideal hygienic conditions - which is a must as far as health is concerned.

It is also not really healthy, because every excessive substance will be drained through your liver. Since you're injecting so much of it, most of it will turn into urine, so you're just wasting both time and money. Sure, some of it will get into your system, but you can already do that through, you know, regular eating and drinking.

If you're worried about your weight, then something else is wrong with your diet. Seek a nutritionist.
