Simple Weight Loss Tips - Tip #3 Separate Fat and Sugar
Like a never ending battle between The Empire and The Rebel Alliance, dietitians and health gurus around the world fight constantly on what is worst - Fat or Sugar.
The real problem is the mix of both.
Sweet Poison?
Sugar, especially refined, is considered to be 'empty' calories. This means that except fueling the body with immediately available energy it has no health or nutrition value.
Moreover, many studies cundctuted around the world have shown that high consumption of sugar can cause various illnesses from chronic constipation to diabetes.
Now before we excommunicate sugar from our life, we have to remember that our body works exclusively on sugar or if to be more exact glucose.
Sugar that comes from fruits or starches is not only not bad for you, it is essential for the energetic processes inside your body.
So eating sugar is okay?
Not quite, this is exactly the place where fat comes in to the picture.
A Deadly Cocktail
Our body knows how to utilize sugar very efficiently, the problem with sugar starts when it is mixed with fat.
When sugar with fat enters the body the body has trouble to absorb the sugar effectively.
The fat coats the receptors in your body that sense the amount of sugar in your blood and they can't excrete the right amount of the insulin hormone needed to absorb the sugar.
With time, these receptors get tired and stop working properly all together. This is when you get type 2 diabetes.
Now this mixture of fat and sugar is present in most sweet processed foods and that is what litterally turns them to poison.
Let's Break Up
The second you start eating sugar and fat sperately your metabolism starts picking up pace. Your receptors start working effectively again and you stop feeling heavy and tired after eating.
Here are a couple of tips you can use to separate fat and sugar -
Check the ingredients
Look at the small letters on the box of sweets your buying if there is fat there just put it down and pick up something fat free.
The best strategy is to swap processed deserts all together and buy things like jams or honey for dessert and as a secondary benefit you will eat less preservatives and chemicals.
Use less Oils and Fats
Avoiding the mix of sugar and fat is pretty challenging but a good strategy to use is just lower the amount of fats in your food.
Try to cut at least in half all the fats you add to your food. Instead of adding a whole stick of butter to the dough just cut in half.
You will save a lot of calories and make your body digest and absorb sugars more effectively.
Eat More Fruit
Fruit is awesome for your body. Vitamins and minerals, fiber and a sweet fresh taste.
Try to get an apple or a banana instead of the snickers bar you snack on.
On your coffee break try to eat a couple of medjool dates instead of the usual biscuit.
In conclusion, separate the sugar and fat and you will start losing weight and feeling much better in a couple of days.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, thank you for the support
Great piece of advice. I cut off processed sugar from my diet about 6 months ago and have noticed a lot of health benefits since then. After having been vegetarian-ish for many years, I also increased my intake of protein and fat by adding meat and dairy to my diet, and curiously it seems to be suiting my body well. I lost some weight and have more energy now, even if I eat more fat than before.
Although I disagree with you about the meat and dairy, separating the macros is the best way to go for easy and effective absorption and I am glad you are feeling well
especially with Filipino food we are notorious for using both sweets and fats in our dishes just take our sausages here.
