Hello community, my entrance for this week of the great healthy challenge is Chicken and Basil Meatballs, organized by @healthsquared. This is a very rich and healthy recipe, easy and fast to prepare.

Benefits when eating chicken.

Chicken meat is a great source of protein, in addition, it provides essential minerals for the organism as is the case of potassium and calcium. That does not count the amount of vitamins of the B-complex that it gives us, with the extra benefit that it contains few carbohydrates and minimal calories.

Benefits of basil.

  • Basil is a potent fever reducer.
  • Helps remove solid remains from the kidneys.
  • Reduces cough and sore throat.
  • It helps to care for the heart as it helps to reduce bad cholesterol.
  • Helps treat oral infections.
  • Reduces stress
  • Take care of the skin.
  • He acts in front of the headaches.

Ingredients:


  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 1 1/2 Cup oatmeal.
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 branch of basil.
  • 1 scallion.
  • One cup of skim milk.
  • Olive oil, pepper, salt and garlic to taste.

Step by Step:



Process oats until oatmeal is obtained.

Together with the oatmeal process the chicken, chives and basil leaves by adding the cup of milk.


Add the chives, season with olive oil, pepper, salt, garlic and seasonings that you like best.

Once the mixture is processed and ready, place it in small, muffin-style molds and bake for 25 min at 220 degrees C.

When they are ready to remove from the molds and cook for 10 minutes more in tomato sauce, add basil again to taste.

Serve accompanied with pasta and/or salads. Enjoy it and good profit.
