Silent Medical killers 4: That unusual (intermenstrual) bleeding...
Now, this is for the ladies. Fasten your seatbelts we going for a ride.
As usual there is no one cause for any symptom in the human body, however this can be a sign of.....
CERVICAL CANCER
Other warning signs include
- Pelvic Pain
- Back Pain
- Unexplained Loss of Weight and Fatigue
- pain after sex
- Irregular Urination
- Vaginal Discharge
- Discomforting Urination
- Irregular Menstrual Cycles
- Leg Pain
However cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers and there is absolutely no need to see these signs before taking action.
The Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is seriously implicated in the cause of cervical cancer. It is fair to say that this virus resides in the cervix of every sexually active woman. The early detection of the strain of the virus that causes the cancer is the key to prevention.
Doctors advocate a PAP SMEAR every 6 months for early detection and eradication of the virus.
Vaccines are also available for this cancer from the age of 16.
