No, you don't need to take supplements, but it is not bad if you do. Supplements are just that, an addition to something else to help or enhance it.

Food First, Then Supplements

Always try and get your micro nutrients from your food, you can do this by eating a varied and balanced diet. There is nothing better than getting your nutrients from whole foods.

However, there is nothing wrong with using supplements. If you are someone who struggles to get their daily vitamin requirements, supplements are a great option.
Also, studies have shown the effectiveness of supplementing vitamins in your diet. For example, if you live in a country that rarely has sunshine and is always rainy and cloudy, taking a Vitamin D supplement can be beneficial.

PCOS and Supplements
It is important that women with PCOS take the right vitamins. An issue with PCOS is a hormone imbalance, this therefore means that enough of the right vitamins need to be taken.
Also, if you are on the birth control pill, or have just come off, it is likely that you will need to nourish your body with the right vitamins that have been depleted as a result of the pill.
