CHETOGENETIC DIET FOR PRE-DIABETES AND DIABETES: THE SIMPLE REFUSED SOLUTION
LADA is the name of a relatively new dismetabolic condition that we could call "pre-diabetes" or latent autoimmune #diabetes. This category of patients has a sort of mild diabetes, which often occurs after age thirty-five. In these people's blood there is an antibody directed against the #proteins of the pancreatic beta cells, which is called GADA, just like in type 1 diabetes. Over time, these people can develop overt diabetes and get the need for exogenous #insulin. As already in the early stage of type 1 diabetes, even or especially in this case, dietary correction is very important because, by itself, it can make the difference between never reaching diabetes 1 (in LADA) or allowing pancreas to continue 'ad libitum' to produce at least part of his endogenous insulin (in type 1 diabetes). The difference is made precisely by the timeliness and correctness of the #diet, evidence demonstrated by hundreds of cases successfully treated by a #ketogenic or #low-carb #anti-inflammatory diet and which were completely healed or never become diabetic. Obviously if, on the contrary, when nothing is done, that is everytime, the patient gets to develop the full pathology. It is also true that modern (!?) #Diabetology does not consider either prevention or diet therapy, both for LADA and for Diabetes 1 and 2, and therefore the fate of the LADA patient is, unfortunately, to become, sooner or later, diabetic. Sad reality but reality.
