We should definitely reward ourselves and new gym clothes is a fantastic way to do it. Now you will feel great because you have new clothes and you have rewarded yourself. Denying yourself of everything when you are trying to lose weight is just wrong. It makes you feel like you are being punished for trying to be healthy.

Exactly! That's how it feels to our brain when there's only work and no rewards, it's a punishment. And that's when we tend to binge. So I won't neglect my mind next time haha
